I don't rate him tbh and respect your opinion and that of many others and I do hope to be proved wrong, i want us to have a top class youngster. I think he's a poor option at RB and I don't think that will change but again would be happy if he turns that around in the future
You dont rate him?

He's 20 years old, playing out of his natural position.

Do you rate Martinez? Serious question.

- Lukaku was a total waste of £28m
- Barkley is out for at least 5 months, he'll never be the same player
- Besic should hang his head in shame for putting Barkley out for months as it was defo him
- Our season is basically over

Anything i've missed ?

If you intellectually destroy a friendless ginger he will pursue a frankly worrying camapign of reputation subtraction. lol lol

Yes I rate Martinez, serious answer
Yet here you are questioning his decision to select John Stones. Did you question it last season when jagielka was injured and he slotted in as if nothing happened. A 19 year old at the time. A couple of times, he was easily MOTM.

Honestly, quite how you dont rate john stones is beyond me. Players make mistakes, especially young players and ones that are glaring at times, he's no different. Its all part of the learning process of being a top player.

The lad is a kid and has been in and around our 1st team for over a year now, playing in some massive games along the way. Its taken this long for him to make a couple of errors. That speaks volumes to be fair. You're quick to give him a boot up the arse and suddenly you've never rated him because of a couple of errors? Behave mate.

The manager you rate, rates him. Even enough to play him out of his natural position. Weird how you dont.

The manager doesn't appear to have any choice but to play him out of position ATM, it doesn't make him good in that position, see previous messages

I'm not chatting rubbish, we were badly prepared for that game.
Last season is now last season.
We conceded 2 soft goals and dropped 2 points as a result in the first game of this season.
Either the defenders were poor or the defensive set up was poor, or both.
Granted we didn't play too many games with Stones at RB and Coleman is a far superior defender than him but the defensive approach through the friendlies and yesterday looked a bit amateurish.
We need to be proactive

How were we 'badly prepared'?

We made two mistakes that cost us two goals. We made no other defensive mistakes the whole game. They got lucky.

Yes I did, I'm afraid I'm obviously not able to follow your circular argument.
My opinion is that I don't rate him ATM, you have a different one.
He's not a right back, my opinion. He has played poorly in that position.
I hope he becomes a great player for the club's sake, but at the moment he has a long way to go, in my opinion
I look forward to rating him highly when he convinces me by his performances, then I will change my opinion and look forward to it
His job to do not yours mate

Lads, I put this weekends results through a complex algorithm and it turns out we'll yield a pretty disappointing return and fail to improve on last season's tally.

Now, clearly Martinez has to go. But I'm even more concerned at the fact that Chelsea and Burnley aren't even destined to take the field at all this season. What happens? Do they even survive? I don't know, but I'm filled with dread.
