2025/26 Thierno Barry

He seems to have a genuine issue with his shoulder though because I have seen him stay down multiple times after fairly innocuous falls. Someone said it popped out twice today. I used to play football with a guy who had something similar. He would regularly dislocate his shoulder just by falling etc. It's very painful and I'm not sure there's much they can do about it. Every dislocation makes the next one more likely.

Yep, I think it popped against Fulham at home when it looked like he just fell over for no reason. Not great that and I wonder if thats an issue Everton have missed during his medical.

If that keeps happening he'll need an op I should imagine.

Now the monkeys off his back what would we view as a good return for him?

Assuming he stays fit we've got 23 league games left, do we think he can get into double figures?

10 in his first season would be a decent return for a young lad adapting to the league in my opinion
He's a steady 10 goal a season striker. Doubt he ever gets higher in Prem. Pleased for him. Never gonna be prolific.

I'd be very pleasantly surprised if he scored 10 league goals, let's see.

Yeah I’d be flabbergasted. You normally don’t go from a 1 in 15 striker to a 1 in 2.5 striker in the space of 1 season. I think from this point on and from the position he is coming from, 6 - 7 goals by seasons send would represent a decent return for him, even if not good enough for us.

Strikers do go on little runs....who could have predicted betos short flurry of goals last season?

I was buzzing for him yesterday. Not sure it ultimately changes that I don't think he's good enough, but really happy for him as it clearly meant a lot.

Yep agreed, Tony Cottee was like that from memory. Would get a decent amount of goals per season but he would get gluts of goals so scored in far less games. Jelavic, a more recent reminder, first half season on loan banging them in, then they dried up. I just think with Barry, we sort of know how quickly he is adapting etc, but I’d be happy to be wrong and he gets more.

Agree. Double figures has to be the aim, and add to it next year.
