He was very good in his first game for us - scored twice if I remember correctly. Let's wait and see how he is after a dozen or so matches.

Walcott was extremely inconsistent. But he runs at players and that is very lacking in our team. You need energy and we have very little without Richarlison. Our other wide options don't have the ability or hunger to take defenders on.

We’re paying Southampton 50k a week, so he can join them on a free. Or maybe go somewhere else, either way, paying 50k a week to hand your rival a good forward when we are lacking in good forwards is one of the biggest dikkhead moves we have ever, ever done.

It’s worse than selling Beardsley when he still had years of quality left.

no he's not, there's a reason he got shipped out. He played v salford and was worse than even all of their players, had no desire. He's gone there with an injection of something new .... he did exactly the same here to start with.

southampton aren't our rival though, just because they've won a couple doesn't mean they'll be competing us for european places, just because they beat us doesn't mean that either
