With the current state of affairs, you would think our motto had been truncated to Nil Satis, (not enough).
At least, not enough of anything good right now.

I'm looking for my glass half full, but I think I broke it when that own goal went in at the weekend!

This period is worse than 93-01. At least we won the cup back then. The last two seasons are on par with 93-94 and 97-98. But what makes this period worse is the ludicrous points deductions, FSW, the takeover situation, horrendous debts and the fact we had the likes of Koeman squander millions when in the first time in decades we had the chance to spend a little money.

I can't really comment on the 1930s and 1950s relegations. But those days were completely different. You'd take it on the chin in the knowledge that you could bounce back and even possibly do very well the season you get back in (not sure if that was the case with us but I'm pretty sure it happened to other teams).

We're now in a situation where if we go down the club might not survive. Even if we do, we could be stuck down in the lower leagues for years and if we come up we'll just be a yoyo club, or at best, making up the numbers for the rich 6.
