I have noticed since these bastards got back in that a lot of employers now seem emboldened to

1. Cut back on Health and Safety Standards

2. Flout Employment law legislation

Mr Cameron and and Co through their many initiatives and public comments are giving the green light to employers to do what they want

This is not a sweeping generalisation as there are a lot of decent employers about

Anyone else had any experiences to support my view ?

I work in the offshore industry and if anything, health and safety regs are getting stricter.

Similarly, employment laws are particularly strict.

Still, he ripped the arse out of the Forces and ruined my cushy existence so CAMEWRONG OUT

Same thing happening here in Spain with the PP (Popular Party = Spanish Tories) or possibly worse. The crisis has seen several laws changed in an attempt to put the working conditions back 40 years (the last years of the Franco regime).
Propping the banks up with public money. And, in the case of one bank, letting them get away with paying their president (who resigned after running it into the ground) severence pay of around 2 million. Said president just happens to be an ex minister under Jose Maria Aznar. Complete [Poor language removed] this lot

its not just the tories ,trying to lower the standards stability and wages of the workers ,its happens all over the globe, the less you get the more they get, the bank of england last week admitted that despite the cuts the rich have got richer, while dave and co lap it up , the have aready borrowed more than brown did in his term in charge, and still make cuts, why because him and his fooken chums will get richer long term.
Look at the jobs in the likes of next, b&q 8 hour contracts they bring you in , if its not busy of home you go, if its busy you do the hours they say or your contract end the next month, shocking state of affairs id hang the traitor bastards for what they and the previous goverments have done to this country and this continent,

Labour aren't socialist mate.

Agree. To a point. Never said they were TBF. But I cannot stand the sort of people like Prescott, Diane Abbot just to name two, who in the case of Prescott proved time and again he was a hypocrite, ( ban the house of lords until I get to join), as did Abbot, (ban private schools except for my kids). Makes me puke.

And I think both would describe themselves as Socialists.

Harman is well up that list mate. Got no problems with the likes of Tony Benn, Jack Straw, who have a view I might not agree with, but at least they have a degree of honesty and integrity that is consummate with their political beliefs.

havnt got a problem with anybody with honest views, from either side, but the crap most modern members of office spout is so far from the truth as you can get, studies of this figures of that , fed up hearing it ,all they should be arsed about is that before the do anything should be, is this for the good of the majority of the uk and its population, now or in the future , yes or no, end of , not the ****e we get fed to suit there agenda[h=2] .[/h]

Spot on Nev, they've exploited the current situation and done the working man over. It's what they do.

Although in fairness to this the old Spanish contracts were a bit of a nightmare for most employers as they were locked tight in. I'm all for employee rights but Christ if only I'd have had the foresight to be migrated onto a Spanish contract when I was living there.

as a construction worker, the health and safety laws seem to get more and more heavier each year.
Its causing real problems for small and medium businesses who simply cant afford to have back office staff producing paperwork for the various quangos.
Im all in favour of any government, even a tory one who cuts and simplifys the ammount of over the top regualtion and rules.

Its gone to far one way and needs balancing.
