Not sure they would be thrilled giving away free toffees when they are charging 7 quid for a sausage roll.

Keep the Toffee Lady but with a modern twist. Something like this?

Remember going to Goodison aged around 8yrs ( so 1962 ) with a stool to stand on. Stood with ma Dad on the terraces behind the dugouts in front of Main Stand always behind a rail. Could stand anywhere along that entire length. Just pick your spot. Toffee lady used to come round clockwise in dress, bonnet, umbrella and basket of Everton mints. Used to call her name, run to the wall with a tin cup and she would drop some in. AND in them days - You could just turn up and buy a paper ticket at that Box Office just 2 hours before the game and get in.

Pretty sure you could just pay cash at the turnstile.

We never did. 80% of the time we would get a ticket. Sometimes against the top sides would struggle or get my uncle who lived near, to buy the tickets some days before. There was always a guy inside each turnstile to check your ticket in. Those times were great. Labone, Gabriel and Gordon West. Then Kendall Ball and Harvey.
