You are aware banks operate on risk, right ?

It's the same reason why clubs like Manchester United were allowed to be in hundreds of millions of pounds worth of debt. Sure, they could have been relegated at any time and gone bust. Wasn't going to happen though, just like we won't get relegated in the next two or three seasons if we back up our current squad with more transfers.

Should we lose Baines, which i dont want too, I would be quite happy with that signing. He has never had a chance grow at Chelsea due too cole but think he would do a decent job and give us money for further improvement at other positions

Some of you are weird. There's angst all over the show because we hadn't signed anyone then when we do they're not good enough despite them not even pulling the shirt on.

Or they're not good enough because their stats are not as good as the Peruvian wonderkid who you scouted on FM/FIFA who won you the Champions League with Chesterfield in 2019.

The transfer window is barely open and won't be shut until seven weeks time. I'm sure Martinez is acutely aware that he has to make a good first impression and add to a squad which had some excellent players but struggled with depth last season.

We've just signed an international striker and defender of which the former showed he can do alright in the Premier League, maybe even better than the players we currently have in that position.

But we won't know until he's playing so at least do the sound thing and afford them and the manager some time to put it all together and play a number of games.

If we looked on another teams forum in the same scenario and saw some of these views we'd think they were bells.

Been saying for a long while how people are deluded nowadays because of FM and its vast scouting and data collection when actual fact as enjoying as that game can be its a bloody game and there is no human element to it.

It annoys me to no end when a new name is touted or a list is being put together of who people would like and people put their list together solely on the fact it worked for them on FM or he is 'ACE' on FM haha!!

I think we will end up with Moses on loan(with view to buy), Alcaraz (obv) and hopefully one of Honda or Fer, if not then another decent CM. If Fellaini leaves go for a good DM and i wold take whatever for heitinga to get him off wage bill
