The summer 2013 Everton transfer rumourZ thread

Haha this thread is as hilarious as ever!

I find it has three stages depending on various excitement levels.

Stage one. Nothing is going on. Absolutely nothing. Some people make suggestions, other people ridicule these suggestions. Some people post jarg rumours, other people ridicule jarg rumours.

Stage two. Something might be going on. Stronger rumours arise. Some people say how these rumours would be great, other people ridicule those people and the source of the rumour.

Stage three. Serious hyperactive overdrive because "It's on". Rumours have made their way to reputable sources. Lots of people saying how great/bad they would be if true, other people ridiculing these people. Also this time the thread has a new page every few minutes and usually more gifs.

In conclusion, y'all some bitchy bitches on here!

What about Stage Four - DAVIDMOYES posts to say we are signing someone and GOT faps itself into a coma

No Premier League clubs mentioned here, but this would be some signing.

He's Argentinian, so maybe RM has him on the radar. Probably not though.

So Phenom mate, do you watch players or something like that? I think we've all grasped that's how you make judgments on ability, but that's not to say it's the only measure of a player. It's quite off putting that your first inquest to any mention of a player is "How much have you watched of him" "I've been watching Scott Sinclair since he was 3 lid so you know fook all about him".

My point is that in this age there are streams available for just about every game if you want to find them. So yes I've watched Fer boss about a midfield and show an eye for goal from that position that we severely lack. Yes I've seen Bony absolutely slot chance after chance and show an inherent ability to turn half chance into a goal. I've even seen Redmond show tactical awareness beyond his age and maintain a consistent role for Birmingham to complement his pace.

Essentially, you sound like a douche at times and I'm not even sure you realize it. Take a moment to appreciate someone else's perspective. I'm sure you're proud that you've put in the effort to research theses players and scout their abilities but that doesn't diminish the validity of other poster's opinions.

Up the Toffees and all that

Well I never said I haven't watched them much have I? I said you don't have to watch a player playing 20 times to judge him.

McCarthy has no experience in the Europa League. And the Dutch team is a top team while Ireland is not (with respect). I said Fer is a proven international because he is talented, has good experience in Europa League and already an full internatioal. Bony and that Belgian are since they are regular for their national sides. McCarthy is a regular for Ireland but for me he is not proven at the top level. He hasn't done anything spectacular.

In Phenom's defence here, Leroy Fer with his two international caps cannot be classed by anyone as a 'proven international'. Surely under any definition of that term, they have to be a regular player for their national team.

Twenty odd games in the Europa League doesn't make someone a proven international I'm afraid.

Until McCarthy cements his place in the Irish side the same applies; but taking your definition of 'proven international' Phenom is spot on.

For what it's worth. You don't have to watch someone play twenty times to judge or form an opinion on them, true. But that opinion will be more reasoned and valuable if you have watched them play twenty times.
