...I thought there was a real nervousness in the RM interview about the transfer window still being open. I think he's expecting a bid for Fellaini. The other thing he mentioned was that the club has standards and will not keep players who show a desire to leave. Again, that makes me think that if Fellaini says he wants to talk then it would be the beginning of the end. All hypethetical of course, but if this scenario does play out its important we realise the players true worth and don't let him go on the cheap. Fear I have is that transfer dealings are like a game of poker and Moyes knows Bill's hand.
He'll know whether the player would fancy it or not, as he'll no doubt have spoken to him about his situation when he arrived & the release clause was still valid.
The speech about not keeping players who want to move on, is hinting that he'd have to hand in a transfer request to force it & forego his loyalty payments in so doing.
I still don't understand why
Moyes didn't move for him when £23.5m would have bought him? The only logical explanation is that he wasn't his first choice & was still trying to get his top targets when the July deadline passed. If I was Fellaini, I'd not be overly happy with that like.....
We'll see how it pans out, I think it could go either way, after yesterday there's massive pressure on Arsenal to splash the cash, so maybe they could enter the fray.
