The Rise of Moshiri’s Everton

...we've won f.a. for 22 years mate. I dont know about you but my patience is in pretty small supply.

We have our much vaunted and hoped for billionaire: let's see some real change. I dont want to hear about small improvements and break even spending and plans to consult about plans to build a new stadium...just 'kin get on with it.

But for those 22 years, we really haven't been in a realistic position to compete for anything. In the 22 years since we won the FA Cup, it has been hoisted 19 times by one of City, United, Chelsea, Arsenal or the RS. All money teams. Given our financial situation during those 22 years, getting to one final was nothing short of a miracle. That, at least in my opinion, is about to change, but it won't -- can't, really -- happen overnight.
Correct. You also have to take in the human angle; why would a better class of player want to come to Everton this time 2, 3 or 5 years ago? Klaassen has stated today that Koeman and Walsh are selling the project to these young men. and not just the first team, but in the young lads we've signed who knocked back some of the champagne clubs to come to Goodison. I'll also point out that for all the talk of a 'marquis signing' that Robhino basically did bugger all after his first season and was gone soon after.I'd rather the lads we've bought grew into the shirt over the course of a season. And I like the idea that we have 2 shots of CL this year, we should embrace it.

I cant believe we are raving about Palace and Swanseas best players, Leicesters scout? My word this is unbelievable. Our fans just want to be quiet and see what happens. If Kenwright announced a ground based around the commonwealth games and another loan then spent the Lukaku money on Palaces best players there would be uproar.
So fickle our fanbase its unreal. Wait and see before we start with the hype. Klaasen who the majority of our fans have only ever seen poorly (europa final, and dont pretend loads follow Dutch football) is talked about like Robinho, Siggurdsson is decent but come on lets sack this hype before everyone looks silly.
The whole Moshiri script is based on celebrating Palaces best player and hearsay about Usmanov. Plus the fact your having a go about selling to buy or book balancing when that is clearly the case.
The loons across the park are livid with FSG for trying to win on Leicester tactics. Our loons love it.

Head hunting off clubs like that isn't that impressive, tbf.

If we'd just taken Man Utd's manager and the best players at Chelsea, City, Liverpool and Juventus then that would be 'unimaginable'.
Our fans as a whole are less ambitions than Burnley fans mate.
Bought Palaces best player has just broke my spirit.
We just sold ours to United. Wonder if United guru's are raving on a forum now about buying Evertons best player?

Maybe an idea to follow your own advice for a bit and wait and see before we start with predicting doom and gloom

This is the problem with our fans. One extreme to the next.
Please find me one article or comment that says he has done nothing for the club.
No point whatsoever in over exaggerating or making things up to justify your own view on the situation.
Lets just be normal. He hasnt lit the world up but hasnt bled or let us become static.

Again. Another fan taking it to the extremes. You can live in Mr Motivators world mate that doesnt matter to me. I just see it as it is what it is. There is no doom an gloom just no real reason to be ecstatic either.

No middle ground on here is there. I want all the fans to be as ambitious as possible but i have never heard anyone say we should be like Real Madrid by now. Or even Arsenal. Its really pathetic to waste a comment pretending somebody has said this. What do fans learn from exaggeration. Me ma an her mates talk like that.
Eat 2 biscuits you ate the lot. Dont get erect over Moshiri, you must not like him.
It is funny to read though.

And Bolasie was not Palace's best player.

That would be Zaha.

:)

Whichever way you look at it it's still pretty gutting we will have lost stones, Barkley and lukaku in the space of 12 months under the koeman/mosh reign. That was a spine of a team that could have developed together and gone on to be absolutely boss for us. Still we have to move on and we are, since mosh has come in we've brought a manager in who knows what he wants, won't defend players who don't perform. He's attracted both some top young talent and some proven quality. I think most would say we didn't miss stones one bit last season and now we have added Keane. A young, developing centre back who's first priority is to do the defending part of being a defender.

The stadium is moving forwards as is the commercial and business side of efc. We still have business to do this window on the pitch. A striker and a creative player are absolute musts if we are to replace lukaku and Barkley. At the end of the day even with stones, lukaku and Barkley in the team what did we achieve? A semi final at Wembley. Not good enough. Times needed to change for us.
Great post mate. Ambitious and spot on in my opinion.

Leicester won the league on the back of walshs work. Stop being so frigging miserable man. Let's get Martinez back and listen to him say how phenomenal we were by getting beat every week. Or give control of the club back to Bill, he was fantastic in nearly engineering our move to the new stadium in kirkby. No ta.
