Yes, but that will never happen, precisely because of Liverpool's financial strength compared to us. The only way there would be a real 'power shift' is if we were to finish in the top four and then couple that financial reward with board investment to cement our position above them. This current state of affairs isn't a power shift, it's a result of Liverpool employing a manager who wasted £100m+ on average players.

Agreed. Any relative success were likely to have isn't sustainable with the current owners and our manager is liable to do one at the end of this season because of it.

I want Everton to be getting boss to like we were throughout most of our history instead of spaffing over fifth placed finishes.

Why not? They've won 23 points out of their last 25 games. That's their current team, the one that cost millions and is aiming to win the league and is littered with trophy winning world class players and they've won one in six this seasom.

They're struggling and we're flying (48 league points in the same period). We should shed this inferority complex we have and say this is our chance to take advantage of their struggles before they ineveitably recover again and really put them in our shade.

We won't because we're bottlers and the mere sight of their name scares us. You can tell because one of our own fans is seriously arguing that a team who finished 8th to our 7th is further in front of us then a one who finished 2nd to our 15th.
