Ibrahima bakayoko v soton 1998. Hardest shot i have seen at goodison. Sheedy at the kop end and unsworth v spurs away (could have been his debut?)

Two older players not on the list are Roy Vernon from the sixties and Ted Buckle from the late 40's and early 50's, both were very slightly built players but had tremendous shots on them. Buckle looked like death warmed up, he looked like
he would fall over at any minute but could whack a ball with both feet. He came from Manchester United and I saw him
play at Goodison Park against Everton Reserves one Saturday, the next week he made his debut for Everton at
Goodison against his old team Manchester United, if I' m correct both games finished 0-0.

Two unstoppable hard shots. Bary Horne vs Wimbledon and Hiberts only goal.:celebrate:

Came here to post that!

Also Bilyaletdinov was capable of a rocket.

I don't remember him putting his foot through a free kick before or since quite like that, always side foots.

Hitzlsperger's shot from practically the halfway line which hit the bar for us springs to mind as a powerful shot. Also Alex's free kick vs them lot.

Incredible stuff really. Wonder if they are just lucky.

I watch Baines body twist for the goal against Newcastle and the ball swerved the same way even though it had left his foot.

Must be some crazy science behind it.
