We had a nib on a stick that you dipped into your ink well.

Not safe for kids to do some of that sadly anymore....
Those pens they supplied at school you spent more time using blotting paper than writing - a bad lad in our class we had a new student young women teacher & he dipped his blotting paper in his ink well & pelted her all down her white blouse - sent to the head master for the cane ....
Never did it again ...
He was the prototype for every bit part player that met a sticky end or went missing before the end of part 2

Four Feather Falls... terrifying, to me! He looks like Billy Redden (the banjo player from Deliverance).
Captain Scarlet and The Mysterons and Fireball XL5 were 2 others. My problem was I believed everything was real and they were in my house!
There's still a bit of anxiety there posting this
