I went to Anfield Comp, we had an RE teacher, who also undertook swimming lessons.
Other boys warned me that he was a 'perv'.
I then noticed that he would unnecessarily 'linger' in the changing rooms, as we all dried off and got back into clothes.
We were all careful not to leave him alone with any of our peers.

Had an incident back with the christian brother taking swimming class. Was in with all the physically challenged boys cause I couldnt swim. Got an accidental foot in the goolies in the pool, got out and he sent me to the changies where he promptly pulled down my trunks to take a look! Nothing else happened but I froze and I will never forget it. I cannot imagine the mental scarring for kids wo were truly assaulted. Evil in society amazes me.
He also had a stance rule no underpants under you shorts until you were in the 2nd year aged 12 years old ....

I would imagine most of us played street games when we were kids, not sure about nowadays. Found this fascinating.
With a staple through the notes in my day ..coins loose no £ coins back then & a slip with tax NI & pension deductions delivered by a security firm..back then-
My old boss told me back in his day the parks& gardens superintendent used to cycle on his pushbike to every park etc & deliver the pay packets to each employee all day it took him

When I first started with the Corpy, as a temp, we were paid at a window at a window at the back of the municipal building. Cash was in an envelope just like this one together with the slip with details of pay and deductions.
We got paid in cash and a fellow I work with bought a load of those envelopes from a stationers. He used to put half his wages in and bring it home to the missus. He was only twigged when his misses started boasting to other employee wives about how her husband brought home his wage packet unopened. The other wives some put her right.
…..thinking back, must’ve been a huge security risk with so much cash on the premises.

Back in the 90's I worked in Saudi and they still paid everyone at the window with enveloped of cash. Remember their currency was the Riyal and they were some big envelopes for the expats. Of course it is still 1444 there so not to surprising.
