Chronologically I'm approaching 54 (as I recall) yet never feel too young for this thread on the basis that almost every day I feel about 70.

Ye think I am about the oldest.Was stationed in Kowloon,then on active service in Malaya, which I wouldn't wish on anyone, I can remember the rationing when I was a kid, and no one had anything, and when I see the way people are now because of the Corona virus,I dispair I really do.

I was attached to the West Yorks in Kluang, Johore Bahru for a short time. Did about a dozen jungle patrols while I was there, so I know what you mean. Spent most of my time in Singapore which was like a holiday camp!

At the moment you are still a kid. When you hit 50 we will treat you as a junior member, when you hit 60 we’ll let you fully into the club....there’s no membership cards as none of us can remember where we put them. In terms of discounts, when you hit your 60’s, we have a special travel free option, also known as a bus pass......welcome @tommye ......

I can’t cut mine, still too damp and boggy......meanwhile the grass is about 9” high.....
