The Obvious Problem Areas

Far too many avoidable issues.

A centre half playing dreadful but getting selected week on week out
A centre half playing right back massively struggling out of position
A midfield 2 offering no protection to the defence and offer nothing in an attacking sense. No physicality at all in there.
KDH having the game completely bypass him doing a role he's not cut out for
Both strikers are absolutely garbage
Plus given a 2 year contract extension ?

How many times did mykolenko or obrien overlap grealish & ndiaye last night. Even if not used it pulls the opposition players out of position.

We've decent players there but we're as stale as last weeks bread tactically and it makes those decent players role twice as hard.

not enough obvs, but I do remember Myko at least making a few overlaps at least, But Grealish in the second half seemed to want to slow the moves down and cut inside instead.

As for O'Brien (not sure whether hes lost the initial spark or was told to sit by Moyes) he had no interest in moving forward at all. There was one instance in the 2nd half were McNeill won a header just inside our half and placed it in the path down the line which O'Brien could have and should have run onto with no opposition and he just ignored it and we lost possession again.

optimist in me thinks Barry will eventually come good and Beto cant get any worse! and would prioritise 2 decent full backs to fix our issues this season. Our defending is calamitous at times and persisting with this back 4 is our main issue.

Lack of a confident goal scorer and Tarkosksi's form dropping off a cliff for me.

We need a striker as a priority in the winter window. Given it's a World Cup season you'd think there'd be a load of decent strikers at top clubs who are not getting a chance looking at a loan somewhere to get games and earn their place in their national teams WC squads.
We should absolutely looking at the loan market on that front.

And pending how long Branthwaite is going to be out, maybe even a decent veteran CB as a short term option.

Yeah the RB position still needs sorting, but the goal scoring issue has to take priority for me.

I am no expert and dont own a business............however surely TFG mob will be questioning what so much money was spent on Dibling, Alcaraz et al and they are not getting many minutes at all? Or am I missing something?

Dont think our wide players want a striker who can hold the ball up, they want one who they can one-two with.

A hold up player allows others around him to break the lines. Grealish, KDH, Garner, and to an extent Ndiaye don't want to do that
Well maybe one that can control the ball at least. Currently everything breaks down when our forwards get it. I fully expect them to lose the ball and not win a duel. Ridiculous really. I'm certain this will be addressed in January. It has to be

All of them need to step it up, the only one getting a bit of a pass atm is Ndiaye as at least he is still offering a few goals, the others all need to contribute far more, Grealish frustrates at times for me, KDH is totally out of position in some games he gets caught badly, Garner Id rather at RB (for the moment) and swap him for Rohl. As for the lesser spotted Dibling and Alcaraz, who knows, they need to grab what chance they can.

I like Moyes but it’s all a bit Dyche now. Moyes, like Dyche has decided who would play where in his first 11 before the season started and refuses to change anything outside of swapping two misfiring strikers. Stubbornness and lack of adaptability both in and out of games will be Moyes downfall if he doesn’t start acknowledging problems.

They need to be given a chance if we’re being truthful. Neither really has had a real opportunity. Charly has done some good things when played as a 10 and then gets pulled right back out the he next game.

We keep changing managers yet the culture doesn’t change. Maybe try and change that for once and we might be better off .
Find a striker that can consistently finish chances and the culture will seem improved very quickly. Though the biggest deficit seems to be possession in the box. Other teams seem to have little trouble getting the ball in the box. Too much crossing it in and not enough carrying it in.

A decent forward papers over the cracks. The culture is the major problem imo mate. The club itself.
