It's an interesting situation - we have a manager that can grind out PL results with an unbalanced squad with limited quality - the favourite replacement is
Moyes who is similar (but proven better to be fair).
The ideal situation is that we are in the middle of the table with a beefier squad that allows room for error - then you can gamble on the new manager being progressive (similar to the pre-Martinez situation).
I can see why some want to use
Moyes like West Ham have - to stabilise the club, build a better squad then move on when they think the time is right for a gamble.
It almost benefits Dyche to be where we are in the table - the margins are fine and the cautious among us don't want to rock the boat whilst we are circliing the drain.
I totally sympathise with the fans who want something more exciting - but how long would it take to build and at what cost (e.g. PL status) - it just seems like something to do in the summer if the new owners are in place - not January in a rubbish transfer market and with us hovering above the relegation zone.
