I think he should stay one more season, but he's now burned through 95% of my goodwill.

If real progress isn't made over the summer into the first few months of the season and he continues to play people out of position, refusing to use the bench (particularly with new players), then a change might need to take place during 26/27.

One of Keane and Tarkowski can play, they've done fine when paired with O'Brien or Branthwaite. It's being paired together that truly exacerbates their worst qualities.

And yeah I 100% believe that Iraola picks us over Palace if we ask the question. Our fans get so down on where we're at as a club they lose all objectivity. We're a far bigger club than Palace, richer owners, bigger stadium, bigger fanbase, potential for much higher revenue and spending.

Iraola has turned down a massive contract from Bournemouth so he can build a side without having his best players sold every summer. He's not going to want to go to Palace where Glasner is leaving for the exact same reason. Newcastle a different conversation but we would still be in with a shot and could offer him a bit more of a clean slate with less rubbish players on massive wages than Newcastle have atm. In any case we should surely be asking the question.

I'll not argue with you that there's big improvements to be made to our squad this summer but thats not any different under Moyes, and I would much rather someone other than him gets given the money to address that considering his spending at West Ham and the poor use this season of the players signed last summer.
Think the Iraola thing would have to go on a back burner until after Palace play in the final,I think European football and London would tip the balance if it was a choice between them and us. And with the best will in the world in one window there's very little chance we could end up with a team anywhere near playing the football his Bournemouth team do. I remember all the calls to ditch Moyes before he left for United and that didn't go to plan and the Hammers support wanting rid which tonight might prove a real disaster.

He's gotten Bournemouth into the Champions League this season off the back of his own hard work and is turning down a massive contract to stay there. European Football doesn't move the needle for Palace as far as this is concerned imo, he's waiting for a bigger club to make him an offer.

He built Bournemouth into the side they are now in 3 years, while having all of his best players sold and having to rebuild every year. With the backing we could give him and the ability to hold onto our players he could feasibly have us playing good football and competing for Europe by his second season.

And the fear mongering of saying look what happened to us after he left look what happened to West Ham just doesn't make sense to me sorry. When Moyes left here we made a succession of poor managerial appointments, West Ham brought in Lopetegui. I have said multiple times on here I would not just change for the sake of it as sick as I am of Moyes. I wouldn't ditch Moyes for Potter, Frank, whatever other middling managers you can think of. Iraola and Glasner being free agents available in summer represents a real opportunity to do it properly this time.

Us getting Iraola now would be the equivalent for me of Spurs getting Poch from Southampton. This guy (and glasner) are both the real deal as far as I'm concerned.

He's what? That's possible but not guaranteed.

Looking highly likely right now, get a result against City and they're likely to finish above the RS in fifth.

Regardless point would stand anyway. Post I was replying to was stating Iraola might be waiting to see if Palace get European football. Champions League or not Bournemouth are basically guaranteed European football of some kind unless other results go against them and they lose both of their last two games. They're unbeaten in 16 games. Could happen but slim slim possibility.

A more accurate statement would have been "he's gotten Bournemouth into an excellent position, with a Champions league place very likely".

I don't think modern premier league footballers think like this at all. The tenure of a premier league manager is very short, around 16 months, regardless of how long a contract they have. The most players do when speaking to the manager is try to see how they will be played in his team and how often. Most important, how long is the contract and how much will they be paid!
Possibly - if I was a footballer I think I’d want to have an idea of what I was getting myself into but maybe that’s just me
