The new Kevin Brock?

Gwladys Treat

Player Valuation: £50k
We all remember where we were the day our fortunes changed in the eighties. It illustrated the extremely fine line between failure and success.

This season we have unfortunately experienced the reverse effect, with Jordan's Anfield mishap initiating a devastating downturn to our season.

So what better opportunity than the upcoming home derby to boost everyone's confidence and outlook.

I'm aware it's a big ask, but the gallacticos are now feeling the pressure and having a wobble of their own at present.

So we need to be fully committed with a realistic game plan and the courage to go after them.. If we believe in ourselves they can make errors and after that match we may be talking about "The New Kevin Brock"!

Showing my age but who is Kevin Brock?

Don't recall anyone called that playing for us in the 80s, may be wrong though as it's before my time

A Salah own goal, jeers from the head wobbling easy to abandon a player rs resulting in him flicking them the v and the resulting meltdown would do nicely.

He played for Oxford u, who at the time were in div 1. We had them in the league cup semi final when he passed back short to the keeper. Adrian Heath nipped in and scored, equalising and keeping us in the cup.

That moment gave our misfiring side of the early 80s confidence. We didn't go on to win the cup, but the FA, Cup Winners and League twice.

Edit: to the best of my knowledge, this was also the last time Everton actually had any luck on the pitch.

Like the sentiment, on fantasy island it will be called a john stones moment.

It’s certainly accepted as the turning point for that team , what came next was incredible to be part of .

I think we one that first leg 2-0 didn’t we and it might be my memory but I’m sure McMahon played and got some fierce stick .
Yeah 2-0 first game, murder around the ground,Richardson accidently getting his hand in the way,2nd leg McMahons car attacked,Everton in every part of Villa park brilliant support that night

Sorry guys. I would have explained the reference, but I'd seen it mentioned a couple of times elsewhere on the forum. I really believe that an under pressure Allison or whoever plays alongside VVD is perfectly capable of making a howler. If JP then saves a penalty in the last minute, all the better!
