The Moyes Question

Catch 22 in my opinion. We need a better tactician but we'll struggle immensely to find a better motivator and shrewd operator in the transfer market. I say keep him on for sure. Maybe he'll learn yet.

does that take "how to motivate a team for the beginning of the season"into account?

Angry Dylan is awesome.

I'm not angry. I learned long ago that letting Everton effect me for the worse is not good for me in any way, shape or form. So I chalk this up to us still being in pre-season. It will be neat when we start the season in October.

I'm the opposite and it's affecting me. Hell, I even blame the growth of white hair I'm getting since the past year on everton and I'm 19 FFS!

Ok now I've calmed down. I don't understand the players and changes, but I reckon we had tge wrong starting lineup to go behind with since it'dve recuired 4 changes or so to really push for a win. In Moyes We Trust but he does test our belief a bit too often for my liking. I really hope we get a winger in, would help a lot.

if still had pienaar and if coleman was fit today. then we would have demolished them. However with Pienaar gone and Coleman injured, we really do lack creativity from the wide areas. The amount of times Phil Neville had the chance to put a ball in today and wasted it was ridiculous.

Its tough.

Most sensible post you've made today. Objectivity returning.

Agree on all points.

Neither am I nor should any evertonian but I can't see him as a larger than life stature. SAF took man utd from nothing and has created a kingdom but that doesn't mean that Man Utd fans start to think that they'll be doomed when he leaves. If we're thinking that we'll be doomed after Moyes then take a shower, hit the bricks and get a clue! That's just lame IMO.

Yes he took us to dizzy heights, no doubt about that but back then the quality of the teams wasn't as high as it is now so with time, Moyes needs to change himself just like Jose Mourinho or SAF have done year after year to be successful. If moyes can't do that then no matter how good a squad he retains, it won't make a difference!

Bang on with that.

If Moyes wants to be great and get top jobs he's got to show he can change and adapt.

Hasn't shown that he can, in Europe it stands out like a sore thumb

ffs I hate you people who say "well you don't go the match then" if we don't agree with you.
I was speaking to some bellend on the bus about moyes just before the end of last season and he said the same to me, I actually had my season ticket on me too but didn't realise until I'd gotten off.

Saying that is just like saying "yeah well your opinion doesn't matter because... YOURE GAY"

So bite me.

But tell me this, fella.

Do you always carry your season ticket around with you?

2) What's going to the match got to do with it?

I'll tell you what it has to do with it.

Them as go the match can see with their own eyes the lack of tactical nous shown by the manager.

When one hangs out on t' internet of a matchday, watching dodgy streams or posting on a match thread, one has no real appreciation of what is happening at Goodison.

Hope this helps.

I think Moyes is slowly evolving. 'Old Davey' would never have played Coleman in midfield or started with 4-4-2. It's a painfully slow process though.

Unless you've got an obstructed view like.

he made a show out of himself today, starting with the interview saying we would be lucky to get top ten even before we had kicked a ball that must have nice reading for the players, and at the same time we are getting close with felli yes thats good, offer him at best mid table can see him biting there hands off at that thought.
team selection and tactics ,well you dont even have to say anything do you, needs to take a good look at himself tonight, that ****e wasnt good enough today from start to finish,
