The Liberal Democrats

Looking the record of them is enough to give the Tories a wide berth. The Lib Dems are fine (great supporters of Land Value Taxation), it is just that they are selling themselves to try to make this union work.

I am an ABC. Anyone But Conservative.

The Tory idea is to divide and rule setting the people against each other, by getting the middle class to think all the working class are lazy and on benefits. And that they are paying for the benefits in their tax. They play on the prejudices of the narrow minded and hard of thinking.

Many vote Tory thinking they will eliminate benefits 100%.

The real problem is those at the top. 70% of the wealth is in the hands of 8%, the last time I looked. Large landowners are richest in the country by taking rents - parasites. In short not doping anything productive - unearned income. We need all people to work in productive activities, not be parasites and take off others. We also need an unrigged free-market that will create economic growth. Taking rent is not economic growth.

That sir is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Is it Dave letting loose again with politics as long as it does not put Labour in a bad light. Yaawwwnnnnn time to go to sleep.

The Tories want you to sleep and not not want change. They want you not to know. If you knew you might man the barricades.

He thinks Lib/Dem will be able to go in to coalition again. The way things are going the party is going the same way as the Dodo - extinct.

Well come on he couldnt say oh yeah we're doomed but i suspect Clegg wont lead them into the next election,if he does they will be wiped out perhaps never to return but if they think even without Clegg things are going to be ok then i suspect the party is going to be in for a huge shock.

there problem is simple.
they have no liberal principles anymore.
They are a party awash with small S socialists.
The SDP won.

What a load of tossers. They are the same as the Labour Party here in Ireland, who claim to be centre-left but sold out their slimy little souls to grease the palms of the super rich and lick up to muppet Kenny and his unholy band of [Poor language removed].

They keep on saying they are trying to 'effect change', which is such a typical PR man's nonsense soundbite.

Greed always takes its course. They want to be in power, they want more money. They will hide behind claims of 'its better to be in there to try and effect change than outside'. Thats all very well, but you have to mean it too.

In the end, they are intent on furthering their own needs.

But we could talk until the cows came home about this, the problem is there is very little decisive action. I mean, yes, I can imagine the Liberal Democrats will sink once the coalition breaks up. But how far? Lets hope they go, get rid of them forever, show them, and others that if you compromise your beliefs (which to be fair the parties bang on about the importance of for years beforehand) then there is no way back. There has to be a follow through.

If you don't they are quite idiotic enough to think you have somehow validated them.

Look at Fianna Fail here, made us a laughing stock across Europe, voted out in last elections with record losses. Now, big surprise, the other capitalist-loving party that was voted in to replace them are doing exactly the same thing and what is happening? Fianna Fail are rising in the polls again. I mean, what is wrong with people? That party haven't changed, haven't apologised and yet theres a chance they will be back in government in the next term. Ridiculous!

Some would possibly say the same about the Labour Party in the UK. I mean, seeing one of their MP's on TV recently criticising George Osborne for the handling of the economy, pot kettle black! (No fan of Osborne by the way, just found the clip hilariously ironic!)

The opposite of that is true. The "orange book" liberals won.

there is nothing liberal about blindly supporting the EU no matter how corrupt, illogical and anti workers rights it becomes.
So for starters, on europe the socialists won.
