Bought a car today in Manc, little 2002 Polo, one lady owner, plenty of service stamps and other records of service, 50000 miles on the clock. Cracking condition, one tiny dent on the passenger side which will probably knock out.

Drove it home, perfect. Went out to start it tonight, put it into reverse and it won't move. I'm revving the engine and the reverse light is coming on and seems to be in gear, nothing.

Eventually it does move but you have to give it a s**t ton of revs, almost as if the handbrake is stuck on, but it's not that as if you put the car in neutral and lift the hand brake it rolls backwards of its own accord (slight incline on the drive).

Seems like a clutch or gear box issue, the guy has said he'll come and pick it up on Monday and sort it out hopefully, we'll see.

So gutted.
