In my final year I was part the Geography Society committee and at the freshers fair I was there to get people to sign up and put their details into an Excel spreadsheet. I came up with an ingenious plan to het a head-start at cracking onto the first years. If they were fit I'd put an * in an extra column. At the end I would search the extra column and find the first year hotties on Facebook.

Despite such meticulous scheming it didn't bear any fruit as it turns out being in the Geography Society and having one Salsa class wasn't very appealing to the impressionable freshers.
