No. From Derbyshire originally (well actually born in Birmingham but don't remember living there), then went to uni in Winchester, me and some mates moved to Southampton and met mrs Ijjy here. So here I am.

Mr Kipling makes Bakewell Tarts. Bakewell Puddings are from Bakewell and are very different.

Bakewell Tarts have nothing to do with Bakewell.

Sorry Ijjy, the real puddings are indeed well better than the shop bought rubbish - here's a Bakewell related fact hunt;

The Bakewell pudding was created accidentally by a cook in the town’s Rutland Arms Hotel in 1820.

Its name comes from Badecanwylla, which can be translated as Badecca’s Well after the town’s springs and an anglo-Saxon chieftain.

The market, still held today, began in 1300. The first recorded fair was held in 1254.
