Because I'm Welsh the course fees are subsided by the government so I only have to pay 3,425 back per year.

The accommodation is 132.30 per week for what I'm assuming is a 42 week contract, although it doesn't actually state how much.

That's pretty good. Because I started my course before this year I'm only paying £3465 as well.

I thought the accommodation would be more expensive than that.

If it's the best course then I'd say go for it. That's not a bad deal considering how expensive uni is now.

London is generally daft expensive to drink out though, unless there's cheap student bars and that.

I mean if the contract is 42 weeks I'd be about 200 short on rent with the maintenance loan which isn't too bad, but then again I would have hardly any cash to spend on anything else.

Get somewhere cheaper. First year I was paying 53 quid a week. And it was an okay place. Then again I'm not in Londonium.

There is no where cheaper FFS

My maintenance loan fell short of the accommodation fee too. I think unless you don't stay in student halls and get a house/flat share instead (something usually done in 2nd year) then that's the norm really. I suppose it depends on how nice a place you want to live in.

Try and save as much money as you can over the summer, as the average amount of money you'll have to spend is £70 a week, which isn't great. Especially if you want to eat anything half decent.

Well I already have some money saved but it's around 700 so I don't know long that would last.

I'm just going to try and save as much cash as I can.

My Grandad had to retire because of depression and my Dad suffers from it so looks like I will in the future. Horriblr thought that.
