The last decade in which EFC were more successful than Liverpool

Best to avoid the conversation. When it comes to arguing football they've got dates and trophies engraved into their psyches. It's as futile as teasing a ginger adult who's had their entire childhood to come up with a quick response.

My late father in the 1950,s with his cousin used to watch the blues and the reds every week my father was a blue and his cousin was a red - before Shankly LFC were in the old 2nd division in the 1950,s - some seasons they were always in the running for promotion and my father used to turn to his cousin and say it looks leke you will be with us in Division one, and they just blow it - my late father mused why ? his cousin used to say they never had the funds to stay in division one - ironically when they did get promoted in the mid to late 1950.s we were relegated for two seasons and as we went back up to Division 1they came back down to Division 2 !
So it is quite correct to say Shankly turned them around big style, not just on the pitch, but off it he improved the Melwood training ground etc, and told the board what he needed and got it!
Then when he left LFC disowned him as he was more welcome at Goodison after retirement -
You can not compare records as the Heysel debate of the ban we were set to win the then European cup, and that side and manager were broken up because of the European ban -

One thing is certain is they would never have played at Anfield if EFC had been done over by the EFC Landlord John Houlding by an extortionate rent rise!
EFC went to play back in Everton - They took most of our team then and called them selves after the city on Liverpool when the area is Anfield - I have just read a very good book Everton Fc Return to the hill country by Tony Onslow - the formation of EFC in Victorian England - a great read - LFC never existed - Mr Houlding was a pivotal figure of finance our first ground was an open field on Stanley park - then we had a ground at Priory road which was to wet and to much of a slope we were at Anfield for 8 years were the players the fans virtually built it to a good standard - The rest is history LFC a thorn in our sides no wonder we hate them!

Some Redshite on Facebook posted this yesterdee, I was arguing it was the 80's but he said it was the 1920's or something ridiculous.

My arl man always told me we completely dominated the 80's and that The [Poor language removed] were a nothing club before Shankly who hadn't won a thing, so surely this Kopite beaut can't be right?

Crap troll tbh.
