So he was wrong? We were more successful in the 60's or whenever then. Basically I can say as they won nothing before shankly we were more successful than them up to 1970, so we been the more successful club for longer.

Both sides won two titles and an fa cup in the sixties, the rise of the rs was pretty remarkable but they were the man city of the time
