Morning lads.

This might be a little naive, but I thought about Moyes possibly sitting down with the lads, and explaining the situation, and asking them what he thought they should do.
Perhaps he said something on the lines of ' look, I can't get anyone in who will bolster our squad without paying them more money than you lads, and I certainly can't afford to give you all a wage rise either. What do you want me to do ?'
The lads discuss it then say to Moyes ' look, we need someone. If it means paying them more than us, then just do it '.

Fantasy or possibility ?

I'll get my coat :P

worst similie of the day.
theres pram -faces round here who earn more than me for knockin out kids, one of them wont take a penny from the fathers as it's guaranteed off the gov. but if they missed a payment she'd be short. Newcastle are like a dirty little tart who is after a different bloke every week, they dont mind putting out and occasionally go down.
 

Yeah I think were starting to move into that higher bracket, Moyes would have told the lads that we would need to do that to attract better players. Unless revenue increases though its a dangerous game, Kirkby must be a done deal.

The good news is that despite the net result of player numbers being 0 (4 in 4 out) the 4 we have are now better players. Therefore our squad players instead of Castillo and Jacobsen are now slightly better in Hibbert and Osman.

Its a small move but an overall increase in the quality of the squad.

If we dont get into Europe next year though I will worry, its a gamble.

Not as glum as you. But who says he didnt want to leave? Some Atletico fan? Who is just as likely to be a Kopite on a windup.
 

Johnny's a very agressive lad and we lack such personalities in our squad. Have a look at vidic at man utd,who i hate cuz of his over aggressive plays and horrific challenges atimes but he's a good defender still.
I hope the same is the case with Johnny,he'll get a lot of yellow cards but they shouldn't count for nothing. I hope his salaries are not wasted like VDM's were for four years on 40,000. It still hurts ne when i think he was earning that much
