How refreshing to see that we aren't one of 'the hateful eight' referred to in the media, who ganged up to stick the boot in on Citeh.
These are the clubs who wrote to CAS in March to demand that Citeh be excluded immediately from European football.
Rs (obviously), red mancs (obviously), Arsenal, Spurs, Leicester, Wolves, Burnley (???) and the barcodes.
Good to see our lovely people wanted to hear all the facts before sticking the boot in don't you think?
(I bet Pep was crapping himself when he realised Burnley had sent a letter in!)

Here in the North wilts countryside I was driving down a quiet lane yesterday. There was a large farm tub dropped across a field entrance to keep people out. Some delightful whiff had sprayed LFC on it. Nothing is safe from these clotpoles. They must've been driving or cycling along with a spray can and gobe to the trouble of stopping and shaking up the paint to daub this. Utterly pointless, classless thing to do.

It has nothing to do with the fact that Everton are also hoping to splash large amounts of cash which current rules wouldn't allow.
If "Uncle Ussi" wasn't about Everton would also have been one of the teams, especially as there is also the chance they and most other teams could fall even further behind if the Newcastle takeover were to happen?

I would say every club has their own self interests at heart- but FFP is the most corrupt anti competitive tool out there.

Everton did alright in a world of unregulated spending under a skint Bill Kenwight finishing in the top 6/7 regulary under Moyes so I never get the argument that no FFP means only the rich clubs dominate- if anything its worse with FFP when you see the current domination of the status quo in europe, Citeh & RS smashing domestic records every season as no one can dare compete.

FFP also kills clubs like Spurs - it protects the likes of Levy from needing to spend and keeps him in a cushy position with a ready made excuse.

In the end as long as the owner covers the debts each year from overspending to prevent a club going bust while trying to overreach then they should be allowed to spend whatever they want. That is the only way to give the chance for any club to have a chance to compete.

If that means the barcodes, Wolves, Villa, Leeds or whoever else go ahead of us then fine. Least we would have hope of a takeover at somepoint.

Else it will be year after year of the same few clubs that have climbed the greasy pole and have incomes 2/3/4-20 times the amount of others.
