The article was accurate in that for all its negativity it still predicted us to be 7th ha. I actually think we might surprise a few people this season. For once we have a bit of firepower up front in Richarlison Tosun Walcott. We’ve once again got a good full back pairing. We’ve got a good keeper. We’ve got options off the bench up front in Lookman and DCL. Siggurdson should be better than last season (not hard) after a full preseason and playing in his proper position. Plus you’d like to think Silva will get more out of the players than Koeman Unsworth and Allardyce did.

Better to put it on relegation, odds only just under that and if it ever did happen least you would be financially rewarded. Of course it won't happen but probably end up closer to the team in 17th than 1st.

I think after last season a lot of people in the media are happy with having Everton as a punching bag. The were provoked by our ambition to break in the the top 6 last season and were subsequently overjoyed when the season imploded.

I feel the ship has been righted. We might surprise a few people this season.

Yes I have seen they are now but before we decided to get spanked by Blackburn and Rennes they were at a healthier 200/1 when I checked.

Seems pretty accurate to me , and it reminds you of things you knew but perhaps forgotten. Most positive bit was we are now saving £1 mill per month on Rooney and Klassen’s wages.

Judging by our pre season friendlies, I seriously doubt it. I hope I can be vaulted on this.
