How can you identify someone without them giving you their IP personally or the police etc contacting your ISP requesting it ?

Basically how could mods identify it as his or the clubs up address, seems unlikely.

There are public databases of IP addresses. People can try to mask their IP addresses but many forums use software that block those doing so.

I think around the time of the Blue Union, there could have been grounds for your point but not now.
The club finds its self in the relegation zone for two straight seasons, when's the last time that happened.
There's no funds available
and the board are sitting pretty.

No one is saying that everyone who disagrees is a paid shill but it's reasonable to think that one or two are.

The guy who was involved recently on the NSNOW twitter space said they had managed to trace the IP address of that poster on that other forum (I think it was another one not Blue Kipper, but I think Ross was on more than one forum). Different forum managers were talking to each other and sharing information. Basically. Based on that they tracked it was linked to someone at the club and I think suspicion was it was Ian Ross himself.

I'm on twitter with that individual who mentioned it. Can ask him

Because even as a teenager I could see that the blue union were a pathetically poorly run group with no actual vision, and knew full well that listening to them would get us exactly where it did, here. I am now frustrated to see us acting in the exact same way and expecting it to pan out differently.
