For the benefit of you only obviously not having been around for the last 5 years this is how it usually plays out.

1. Apparent interest from a 3rd party around the time of transfer windows or season ticket renewals.
2. Never materialises.
3. Bill wheels out another one of his repetitive luvvy speeches about how there was interest but it never materialised when he asked them to show him the briefcase.
4. Bill is seen as the hero and saviour by less savvy Everton fans who don't realise that this is a never ending cycle.
5. Bill gains more credibility for not selling out to those pesky foreigners who were not genuine and only in it for a quick buck.
6. Bill and the rest of the board continue to invest NOTHING into Everton football club until they get an offer that is way too good to refuse, and Mr Earl can go back to doing whatever it was that he was doing prior to doing nothing with Everton Football Club Ltd apart from holding a large percentile of the shares.


Deflect attention from who if not the fans? yet further on your say they don't care about the opinions of fans. - The media, who still think Bill is doing all he can to deliver the right investor into Everton Football Club - Not simply holding out for a big profit for himself and his mates on the board.

There you have it Dell Boy, in a nut shell. The official bi-annual Everton pantomime.

I can only comment on lots of the stuff I have read on forums over the years, so yes, I would say there is a vast number of Everton fans out there who either still believe everything that comes out of his mouth and still believe the "Blue Bill act".

I am not saying All Evertonians and I don't know how you came to the conclusion that I have a low opinion of Everton fans.

don't think he is, outside of everton he seems to run his affairs pretty good, just deluded that he is good for everton, he is the master of Propaganda, and has managed to get the masses believing anything he says on a scale not seen since gorbels was in his pomp. a tit couldn't get away with it that easy , so no I don't think he is a tit, more of a liar or [Poor language removed] would sum him up better

Chatter this morning on the forums that the takeover topic is back on the table.

It is January of course and who knows if the gravy train express will stop at L4 to pick up a couple of fellas.

Hope it,s not that fella in a one bedroom flat who has changed address on Bill.

Thats because the transfer window is till open, once it shuts then the chatter will fade until the summer.

There probably are some fans who blindly follow Kenwright and anything he says. Who kiss his arse and will follow him to the ends of the earth. In any group there are certain dynamics at play that could cause those swept along to stop questioning the leadership. Once won over and brought onside those members could get aggressive and question the motives of any outsider. It's a long time since I was at Uni but I seem to recall it being given a name of 'groupthink'.

What's laughable is that the same could be applied to certain elements of the Blue Union/anti-Kenwright mob. I wonder how many of those that marched against Kenwright are skilled in the business side of Premiership footy in the current era?

Just maybe there is a silent marjority somewhere in the middle that is both loyal to their club but equally on the look out for common sense and hard facts and figures.

All this ****ging off of fellow Evertonians isn't smart or clever.

i think bills great, he would never lie to good Evertonians, he is a great buisnesman who has brought loads of investment into the club, he even painted the the toilets in the main stand, hes the greatest Evertonian thats ever lived.

Clearly it's just me in the minority here but here goes..

Of course owners don't have to be foreign to be corrupt. The fact that a number of recent takeovers have been done by foreigners AND have led to disaster after disaster is a coincidence.

I'm not going to get into putting a score on Kenwright as it'll just get hammered either way. Look I'm not a massive fan of Kenwright. There are numerous things that should have been done better but I'm not about to join up an armed crusade with a crowd that seem hell bent on a personal vendetta and are almost totally bereft of clear facts.

I would gladly welcome a decent new owner that came with a wad of cash. If there was someone waiting in the wings I'd happily decide on my own accord who I fancied and if they stacked up I'd happily then agree that Kenwright should go.
