If the manager really wants to go for it, I think the 120m he spent over the summer should have us competing for top half and possibly Conference League football. If he wants to take knives to gunfights, it'll be 12th.

I think it's tricky as Iraola and Marco at Fulham had far longer to impose their styles on their teams and it's showing most weeks in the league now. Glasner at Palace aswell (although Everton is the one team in the league they can never do anything against home or away).

That said Moyes did get West Ham 6th in his first full season there but I think it's a little too much to expect especially as there isn't a huge amount to bring off the bench to change things significantly when losing.

If we beat Wham and Palace it will start to feel interesting won’t it. 13 points after 7 games is European form

West Ham absolutely should be three points. They must be thinking long and hard about sacking Potter to bring in Nuno currently, 9 day gap to that game so it will be tempting for their board.

Palace is one for the budding sports psychologists. They are on a ridiculous unbeaten run in league and cup, think it's nearly 20 games. Yet already lost to a Moyes team last season and Dyche never had an issue beating them so they are weirdly a very good match up for this squad. Also playing them after a european game.

There is no secret, get 8/9 home wins and pick up away wins to lower end teams and it will be 10th at worst this season.

2 home games against winnable oposition on the spin, see what we're saying after that

im confident

can 8th get conference league again this year or do palace need to win that and finish top 7

i think we have some very good options on the bench

it's wthether theyre going to get used is the other thing

Basically Alcaraz?

I think Barry will cease to be a bench option as soon as next week if he does well in next league cup game.

McNeill totally out of favour and I think he'll be moved on in January to one of the teams fighting relegation.

alcaraz
dibling
rohl
beto/barry
iroegbunam
mcneil

all good options

aznou will be at some point, or hopefully he replaces mykolenko

mcneil being someone whos unlikely to get any time shows weve come a long way

I always liked McNeil. He’s limited by adhering to his left foot. But I think the writing is on the wall for him. Hopefully we can sell and get something decent. He’s been a good servant for the badge. He’s just outclassed now, which is good for us. Better that we sell too soon than too late. He has value to lower sides or in the Championship.
