I nearly post something in the Hillsborough thread but it felt disresptful so I editted my post so this isn't posted in the manner of previous posters who have faced allegations of 'trolling'.

A red pointed me in the direction of RAWK changing the title of the 'laugh at everton thread' and they were almost universally supportive and giving huge credit to everton, however a link put me to a thread from the semi in which most are again respectful but also where a couple of posters made Hillsborough related accusations against us (one poster in particular makes a couple of references) :

Such a classy set of supporters, always engaged in the fight for justice. Thank you Evertonians!!

Quote: Classy?? You are having a laugh aren't you? *They, on the whole, may have observed the minutes silence, but from personal experience at any derby Hillsborough is used as a weapon by their masses.

Quote: I'm talking of my actual experiences at derby games, hearing a large majority of their support singing songs referencing Hillsborugh in the most disgusting way, The Joleon Lescott song to name one. *I too have met decent Evertonians who want justice for the 96, but talking of the people who actually go the derby, the majority don't come across as being "classy"

Everton as a club have always honoured the memory of those who died at Hillsborough and deserve massive respect for it.*

Some of their fans are vile though. Buying copies of The S*n at service stations on Saturday and throwing them at our fans' coaches. Singing 'it's not our fault, we'll buy the s*n' as well as other vicious chants. Vermin some of them.

Now thats just a flavour of a couple of posts and as I say nearly all are like the first one quoted. I have been an Evertonian for many years and up until about last season I travelled everywhere across the uk and also around Europe . Throughout that time I've drink with a cross-section of blues most brilliant people but obviously a few half-wits along the road. I have (as most of us have) heard in the distant past Munich or paisley/shankley chants (which thankfully have pretty much disappeared) and I've certainly heard "murderers" chants , stuff "you robbed your own fans in ancient Greece to robbed your own fans" and the obviously offensive Gerard kids stuff etc.... However i can say without doubt I have never ever heard any Hillsborough related songs, I'm aware of 'allegations' of pulling faces like being crushed or chants etc but I have never seen it and frankly think it sounds a bit contrived.

I've made it clear in a few threads my thoughts on Hillsborough and I argued with more than a few who disagreed on kipper (apologies) about the minutes silence , playing on the day of the disaster and the like so I'm not trolling it's a serious and reasonable debate I'm after and I suppose to let me know if I'm just naive which is something I've never been accused of before in my life.

So the question is has anyone ever heard chants about Hillsborough from blues ? More specifically the posters on rawk referenced a Lescott/Hillsborough Chant and something they claim was "it's not our fault, we'll buy the sun" and I can say I've no idea what they are talking about.

I've no desire to damage what seems a real upturn in relations since last week but I think it needs debate and whatever the answers I might post on rawk and point them in this direction or pass it to a mate to do it.

Thoughts ?

Honestly never heard a single chant regarding Hillsborough, There are match going blues who would have lost love ones tht day, Do they really think they would sit by whilst our fans sang about it?

I think that some of the problems stem from them making it become a reference to Hillsborough. In 14 years of going to the game, I have NEVER heard a chant relating to Hillsborough, I have though, on more than a few occasions been accused, as an Evertonian, of carrying them out. In almost all of these situations, the 'Hillsborough' chant they refer to is the 'Murderers' chant.

See I always thought that but surely people can't be that deluded can they ? Look at the posts above they specifically mention a Lescott song referencing it and I genuinely have no idea what that poster meant

These allegations keep getting tossed at us, we all come out and say that we have never seen or heard what they talk of but we cannot guarantee that a couple of idiots haven't done such things.

For them to use it as a stick to beat us with though when we have given nothing but unconditional support in the campaign for justice is as wrong as someone committing those acts. The 'M' song should be dropped posthaste imo as it prevents false accusations against us.

When they come to Goodison I see their section as an area that contains many friends, it doesn't stop me from berating them though and last season I was in my element at such close quarters.

Banter with a Mate & Less of the Hate.

and I see those that keep making such insulting allegations against the whole of our support as being in the latter.

Have any kopites shouted him down for his claims of stuff relating to Hillsborough ? Because they know what it relates to, despite what we say about them they aren't all delusional fools. Well not completely anyway.

Said previously in the Mcallister derby, during the minutes silence I saw fellas refusing to observe it. With my own eyes.

Ive never heard or seen any Hillsborough chant and every Evertonian I know has never bought the Sun

1 fan is making this allegation ?

How many others were at the service station or on the coach ? and none of them have expressed their disgust and substantiated this fellas claim.
I saw what was about to become an incident en route to Wembley, 1 of their coaches in with all of ours and a couple of lads were trying to get a reaction from 1 fella (not in that way though) they were bladdered and wouldn't stop, the fella was really at the point of snapping tbh but the lads weren't getting any support from anyone... which is what they were hoping for and were in fact told to shut up by people off their own coach.

There are too many EFC and LFC fans to guarantee that there won't be a few awful, rotten people.

It's the majority that matters. Especially when it's a 99.999% majority.

They shouldn't even be given the time of day sheeds.

To be honest mate I thought long and hard about posting it and I deleted my minor reference to it in the Hillsborough thread as I felt it wasn't appropriate .

It comes from me as frankly I was made up reading what was said in their threads about us then clicking a link I was a bit baffled and insulted but I really did think maybe I was just not seeing it. I'm not stupid enough to say I don't remember someone shouting 'what about heysel' in a minutes silence at Goodison but that's not the allegations refered to they were and are (as you can see) fairly specific , it just seems so fanciful (if that's an appropriate word). If it was posted on here some similar allegations I honestly think someone would pull them on it.

Let me stress I'm not looking to cause discord and as I've said their threads about us last night seem to have been brilliant but reading what I posted (albeit a few months old) simply seemed absolute rot so I thought I'd check I wasnt deluded and it seems I wasn't.

There is a Lescott song that references both Hillsborough and Heysel. I've been all over the country and Europe watching us and never heard it sung at a game once.

One young lad and his mates tried to start it at the pub with the tent at Bburn a few years ago and got a few slaps by a few older lads that were with them.

That's the only time I've heard any of our fans reference the Hillsbourough thing.

Sheeds the one thing that is missing from those allegations about Evertonians, is any proof that any of it went on at all.

Making up stuff like that is as bad as what The Sun did.

There's always people out there trying to ruin support for the community and good people of the city. I feel sorry for them.
