Correct. 100% correct. Fact check it any way you want to with any independent sources you want to. A conservative minimum of 80% were non-MU fans. I'd say higher, but there were very few. It's how it always was when I was there and I don't expect it's changed drastically.

They have casual recruitment drives every year and those who oversee it are basically encouraged to weed out the superfans.

If you're a steward in the car park, the tunnel or pitchside and Pogba comes past, they don't need some kid getting all doe-eyed. They'd rather have an indifferent Oldham / Stockport fan who's going to be professional.

I’ve just looked at the Man U Stewards application form an nowhere does it mention club affiliation.
