Bishop Thumpety-Thump

Player Valuation: £20m
With the AAMI Community Series taking place this weekend I thought it was time to discuss the second most important code of football.

Who will win the flag? Is it finally Carlton’s year?

Anyway I’m the musical support tonight for one of the game’s GOATs. Nice fella, won’t introduce him to Mrs Thumpety-Thump just in case.

Carlton are in with a serious chance of winning it if the injury situation remains somewhat under control imo.

It's Richmond in the first game and we really should win that with a bit to spare. It's time to end thirty years worth of hurt!

Don't do this to yourself.
Very bad start to the season for the Pies!

Your team needs some younger talent being blooded, but the plan seems to be to hold off on that and hope that the Pies older core of players can snatch another flag.

The problem with that is that if it backfires then you will be rebuilding at a time when the Tassie team are about to come into the league.

As for Carlton the crap will hit the fan big time sadly if it's another failed season. All we can do is focus on beating a very inexperienced Richmond team this Thursday for now.

Yep. It could be a big cliff we fall off.
The blues will smash the Tigers. Tigers will definitely be the bottom team this season.

Oh dear an appalling start to the season for Carlton, but congrats to Richmond anyway. We just need to lift against the Hawks next week.

I like Vossy a lot but as a tactician he ain't the best. Changes needed to be made to his assistant coaches in the off season but none of this happened.:(

Thats pretty poor losing to them. They are in full rebuild mode and the Blues are meant to be going for the premiership.

We were supposed to be going for a premiership in 2012 as well, but thankfully there's a long season ahead!

Our paths will be crossing in a couple of weeks time and dare i say it, you could say that Collingwood have had the wood over Carlton in more recent years!

This is going to be a reality check big time for Carlton.
Serious work was meant to be done over the summer and it looks like it was business as usual. Especially in the coaching department. Voss is on borrowed time and an (expected) belting from Hawthorn on Thursday may just seal his departure. Hopefully a few backroom assistants join him.

As expected, I dare say Hawks never truly felt threatened tonight, think they were in control despite the see-saw early parts. They took Carlton's game plan, not only matched it but belted it out the park, heard that this was the most pressure applied by Hawthorn in seven years.

Carlton are closer to Saint Kilda than they are Hawks currently, and this season is quickly headed down the drain.
