Everton were also one of the best.

WSL/WNL is corrupt as it comes, know this from working in it for 2 years. Yeovil still being in the top division, Man Utd bypassing tiers and tiers of football to go straight into division 2, Sheffield United going from tier 4 to tier 2. Doncaster Belles, who won division two last season, are now in Division 3 and have been spanked by the team I worked for Blackburn Rovers 9-0 and 9-2 this season so far.

Hard to take any of it seriously.
I know, and then City went and bought Duggan et al. It sucks. And of course the female RS are better than us too.

And Notts County got rid of their women's team, who were one of the stronger sides, for financial reasons and all their players had to be rehomed. I know Telford went to Chelsea, not sure about the rest.

What happened with Yeovil?

Everton Ladies v Liverpool Women is LIVE this Sunday at midday on the FA WSL Facebook with Everton still looking for the 1st win in the wsl at the 9th attempt -game at southport, thats the 1st of 2 derbys the other few days later in the cup at Tranmere's ground

Not a bad way to start your debut as the new boss

Willie Kirk has been appointed manager of Everton Ladies.

The former Bristol City boss has joined the Blues from Championship side Manchester United where he was assistant manager.

He will take charge of the team for the first time in the Ladies’ WSL 1 Merseyside derby against Liverpool at midday tomorrow at Southport.

“Everton has a great history in the game, one that everybody is proud of, and we have a fantastic reputation for bringing through young players which I am really passionate about,” Kirk said. “The facilities here at USM Finch Farm are fantastic and I cannot wait to get started.”

Everton Ladies looking for there 1st win of the season, starting the day bottom of the league, and with the new boss in charge for his 1st game were up against there Neighbours Liverpool, who had lost the last 4 league games, but had an 8 game unbeaten record all comps v Everton Ladies [since 2014 and no home win since 2012 for Everton],and after just 4 minutes it was EVERTON LADIES who took the lead with a spectacular strike when Inessa Kaagman spoted Preuss off her line and beat the keeper with a stunning lob to make it 1-0,but it didnt take long for it to be level, just 8mins infact when Jess Clarke tapped in after an unbelievable close range save from Levell from a sweetman-kirk shot, just less than a minute later Liverpool very nearly took the lead when Babajide shot from around 30 yards and it landed just on the roof of the net,ON 15 MINS Everton broke through Magill,It was a three-on-two in Everton's favour but when she tries to feed Cain, the young striker shot but straight at Preuss,on 23mins a shot was spilled by Toffees keeper Levell and Sweetman-Kirk followed it in but the keeper recovered just about to gather the ball.on 33mins Everton should have been ahead when An error at the back saw Cain in acres of space down the left. She did well to spot Kaagman at the back post playing a ball along the line about 10 yards out and all she had to do was finish past Preuss, but the Liverpool keeper made a fantastic save from point blank range when Kaagman shot to were the keeper was comming from, but she saved with her legs, but on 40mins Everton re take the lead 2-1 with another beauty of a goal, this time from captain Simone Magil who shot from around 25 yards out on the angle giving the Liverpool keeper no chance,Chloe kelly tried a curler right on ht but easy for the liverpool kepper, but Everton could be happy with there performance that 1st half

On 48mins Liverpool nearly had a chance to make it 2-2 when there confusion at the back as Clarke angled a cross into the box, which had Levell comming for it, but Everton defender Brougham headed it instead and the ball went straight to Sweetman-Kirk,She tried an overhead kick but it just went wide,on 58 Christie Murray shot from 40 yards trying to catch the keeper out but it was easy for Levell,on 63 mins Kaagman's 1st time shot had Liverpool keeper Preuss full stretch to deny her,on 65 Levell then stoped Laura Coombs shot from 20 yards,on 87 mins Liverpool were close this time Bradley Auckland got on the end of Coombs' free kick, her thumping header just went wide, but they were even closer on 89mins when a Yana Daniels header in space from a round the pen spot hit the post, she should have scored really,BUT EVERTON HELD ON for the 1st win of the season moving them up to 8th place -one place behind Liverpool, with games left to play today-it was also the 1st home win since may,and only the 2nd since Feb

Evertons next WSL league game is home v Bristol City next sunday 2pm ko,but before then and as said its another Derby v our Neighbours on wednesday night in the WSL cup 7pm ko at Tranmere's ground

WOMENS SUPER LEAGUE
EVERTON LADIES 0 BRISTOL CITY WOMEN 2

Well after Everton Ladies gained there 1st win in the league via a 1st win in the derby for 4 years, and with the wsl cup derby game called off midweek due to a water logged pitch at Tranmere's ground-cup Derby game rescheduled for a week today,9th placed Everton Ladies were looking for there 2nd league victory in a row which has not happened since a year ago today v 7th Placed Bristol City Women, this will also be the final league game of the year before the league returns for Everton Ladies with a game away to 4th placed Chelsea Women in Early Jan

In what was a quiet opening 20/25mins of the game, the best chance probably fell to Rosella Ayane of Bristol city who tried to redirect her header to the back post but it went wide,Everton had a few near chances were they tried to play the ball behind the back 4 but it didnt come off,on 34mins Biesmans for Bristol had a shot that was going top corner but Levell just about got to it,before 2mins later Everton player Kaagman's in-swinging corner hit the top of the bar before going out,but at ht in a pretty much uneventful half it was 0-0

At the start of the 2nd half Bristol's Lucy Graham instinctively shot but blazed her effort over the bar, before Kaagman could not quite reach a kelly cross to trouble the Bristol keeper,Bruinenberg for Everton then shot over on the hour mark, but the deadlock was finally broken and it came from Bristol city for 1-0 on 65mins when Ella Rutherford on the edge of the area let fly with a thunderous left-footed half volley which keeper Levell has no chance of saving, mins later it probably should have been 2 for Bristol when Levell failed to clear, with the ball falling to Juliette Kemppi but she could only shoot right at Levell,On 71 Angharad James shot for Everton from a tight angle produced a strong save from Baggaley,Claudia Walker then went close for Everon on 74 but her shot was saved as well, but the win was sealed in injury time when Katie Rood beat Gabby George before curling the ball into the far corner past the helpless Levell,THE GAME ENDED 2-0

Should they lower the ticket prices? The two action shots above makes it look as though there is no crowd at all. Must be very dispiriting for the players?

THURSDAY 13TH DECEMBER 7PM KO
CONTINENTAL TYRES CUP
EVERTON LADIES 0 MAN UTD WOMEN 3

In what was the 1st ever meeting between these 2 teams [i think], this was a massive cup game for Everton knowing a win/draw would leave there Future in the Contintal cup in there own hands going into the final game in the mersey Derby sunday,a defeat Tonight and they would be out, but in a woeful opening half all round in which Man utd were by far the better team and looked a lot fitter in speed and everything, Man utd took a deserved lead on 11 mins with a looping header from Lauren James after an excellent cross from the right from martha harris,it took just another 5mins before it was 2-0 on 16 mins when again a cross from the right, this time from the scorer Lauren James found Leah Galton who headed home,on 22 mins an angled cross from Ex Toffee Millie Turner was caught by the wind and smacked against the post, but on 33 mins Everton got a bit of fortune when man utd had a goal disallowed from a corner when a combination of a Lauren James/Everton defender Gabby George tussle in the 6 yard box had the ball in the net,but it was disallowed for a foul when there didnt seem to be one,but it was 3-0 not long later on 37 mins when after a blatant body check on the edge of the area,a free kick was give and from that free kick Katie Zelem curled it home,It took Everton till 2 mins into injury time to have any kind of a shot which was a Chloe Kelly shot from distance that was wide,to go with those 3 goals plus a disallowed goal and a shot that hit the woodwork from man utd,it was fair to say it was all one way traffic with 7 shots/5 on target and man utd looked like scoring everytime and it would have took an unbelievably 2nd half to turn it around,

On 53 Mins Everton's Boye-Hlorkah shot left footed miles over after good work down the left from Kaagman,Kaagman then had a shot against the keepers legs before the rebound fell to Kelly who couldnt get any power to the shot on 58, then kelly had a shot blocked on the edge of the area which went to a corner on 60,Everton had started better this half but to be fair they could be no where near as bad as the 1st half or was man utd just taking it easier,on 68mins it should have been 4 for man utd when Mollie Green clean through had her shot saved from Levell's legs, again 2mins later it could have been 4 after a defender/keeper mix up but shot was wide,in injury time again a one on one v Levell saved with her legs,3-0 it ended on a overall disappointing night for man utds 11 win from 14 games, with only 1 defeat which came last saturday since they made there comeback

On sunday Everton will be playing for pride,a derby win and to stop Liverpool sneaking in over Reading to get to the knock out stage though it will take a few goals [5] for Liverpool to go through in the final Ladies game of 2018,Man utd now go though to knock outs

SUNDAY 16TH DECEMBER 12PM KO
CONTINENTAL TYRES CUP
LIVERPOOL WOMEN 1 EVERTON LADIES 3

In what was the final game of the 2018 year before a 3 week break,Everton Ladies were looking to go out with a 2nd derby win in a matter of weeks after finally getting the 1st one in 4 years a few weeks ago, only there 2nd in 6 years, and after going out this comp last Thursday v Man Utd , were up against Liverpool women who had a little chance of still getting through but needed a big score win of 5 goals or more.

And it could not have got off to a better start for Everton, when on just 2 mins Everton took the lead through Chaney Boye-Hlorkah after good work from Magill and Hinds when she provided a great finish past Liverpool keeper Kitching, and it soon became 2-0 Everton on 9 mins after an a great opening start for Everton to the game when Simone Magill volleyed home from a corner after liverpool didnt clear, but on 13mins Liverpool pulled one back when Niamh Fahey scored her 1st goal no surprise v Everton when she volleyed home from a Yana Daniels cross, incredibly just 5 minutes later on 18mins Everton restored there 2 goal lead when Everton Fan Elise Hughes making her 1st start at 17 after making her debut in Feb at 16, headed a Chaney Boye-Hlorkah cross onto the post, but she was on hand to follow up the rebound,it very nearly was 4-1 right on ht when Boye-Hlorkah's volley just went over, but after a fantastic half and all the goals in 1st 18mins,it was 3-1 Everton at half time

On 48mins a great save from Kitching in the Liverpool goal stoped Boye-Hlorkah getting her second of the game after she shot from distance.Laura Coombs then hit the cross bar on 64 mins for Liverpool,Everton sub Bruinenberg then nearly scored with her 1st touch but shot over
Again Everton not for the 1st time were close to scoring a 4th when Kelly just failed to reach a cross from Walker,Coombs for Liverpool then poked wide from just 7 yards on 86mins,on 88 Liverpools 18 year old Lauren Thomas volleyed a shot from a Coombs cross just wide,But defeat for Liverpool by Everton confirmed that Liverpool as well as Everton were both out this comp and Man utd and Reading who were waiting on an Everton win were both through to the knock outs.with EVERTON WINNING 3-1 AT TRANMERES GROUND

But it was Everton's new boss Willie Kirk 2nd win both v Liverpool, one cup win,one league win,to go with 1 league defeats and 1 cup defeat in his 1st 4 games, the next game is away to Chelsea women who have won the last 5 league games and have only 1 defeat in 20months in the league,Everton have actually proved a tough game for chelsea the last 3 games and a 1-0 defeat there last season late in the game could have been different if Everton despite playing well did not miss a pen at 0-0.
