I can't say I know too much about Popper to be honest, although his views broadly fall in line with current neoliberalism/conservatism and the like?

Part of the problem there isn't it? You've already decided what his 'angle' is before you've even read the first page of any of his works. Isn't it better to read something with an open mind and then make a judgement afterwards?

I can really sense your anger today, at any form of left wing victory

 Not at all. I feel for the people of Greece, as Syriza are like a left wing version of UKIP. A whole lot of populist stuff that doesn't appear to have been thought out at all.

It's not going to end well I suspect, but what will be will be.

Doesn't change the fact that I've read the stuff I'm criticising though ;)

Hold your horses, lol. Firstly I didn't criticise Popper, I asked if his views broadly fall in line with neo-liberalism/conservatism, which from when I remember reading some of his works a long time ago, they do. Don't think I'm attacking neo-liberalism.

You brought him up, I asked if he was a neo-liberalist and you slammed me for not reading his works.

Well, not a great track record during this debate...

Stopped reading an article after the byline.

Didn't read my lengthy answer back to you.

The Mail and the Star do nice short snappy article I think...

Implying this is a debate

Implying the article was worth reading at all

Implying your answer was worth my time

Why do you feel for the people of Greece? It was their choice to elect communists.
