A reversable change strip is a great idea to give fans a bit more VFM.
I know that the kits are an important source of income, but they are also costly to the fans and in times of 'austerity' eventually some things have to give, and the extra outlay on all the different kits is something that gave for me this season, in fact I only got them the away on spesh.
kits come out..... maybe a fiver/tenner off as intro offer
then full price
usually a reduction just before xmas
back to full price
then when any reductions come after that the kit is on the downward curve so I would be less inclined to purchase as it will soon be the 'arl kit.
when they drop them to £7 like Umbro used to then you can waive the fact that it's soon an ex kit.
They did the big price drop on the 3rd kits this season and last, but when you worked it out they weren't actually needed again. In fact the 3rd hasnt actually been needed during the last 2 seasons, and they have worn it just for the sake of it/ so they can have a 3rd to sell.
I'd be all for a 2nd-3rd reversible one, with shorts/socks that go with either colour if possible, and would be inclined to buy it on the basis of being 2 for 1.
Whereas I'm not really inclined to buy any of them at the moment knowing that they are soon redundant.
