Given the popularity of cocaine usage within the media which team of players were most likely to have been socialising, and becoming friends with, journos and TV staff a few years back? Those journos and staff have now climbed the ladder to being in charge at the various media companies and may well be sorting their old mates out with easy work.

Just a theory though.

As well as that, there is a pretty conclusive link between regular pundits and ex footballers stung for being tax dodgers/badly advised. Bet they all live off the same booking agent used by all the outlets.

@Connor

Souness, Carragher, Redknapp, Murphy, Lawrenson, Hansen, Fowler, Mc Manaman, Owen, Thompson, Barnes, the list seems endless.

Yesterday Sky had Carragher on commentary and Souness and Redknapp in the studio, and invited Weir in as a token gesture to make it look less one-sided.

But they aren't biased are they, that's why they have commentary of one of Salah's goals and the kop singing YNWA as inserts between their programmes.

Absolute joke.

Its probably an unpopular opinion, but I am not remotely bothered who a pundit played for. Lets face it, few played for only one club.

I just want them to be good.

The list is a short one, but Nevin is good, Neville, Wright, and Shearer I am ok with. Carragher aint awful.

IMO, the only True Everton pundit is Ratcliffe, and he is awful!
Shearer I can live with as he was pretty much the only one in the fans corner over fat sam. I like Neville, he speaks well and agree with him or not you can tell he puts a lot of effort into it. Ian Wright may as well be lobotomized, complete idiot and don't really want to hear him talk after his jingoistic send them to afghanistan crap if they don't play for their country, no time for that nonsense. The spitting thing with carragher is hard to get around, such a kopite thing to do getting that wound up about footy, but yesterday he was actually less biased than Tyler and speaking up publicly supporting bramely moore for the good of the city goes a long way with me.

With you on Pat Nevin, intelligent and decent fellow, a good article on him here

To be honest, I find it amusing that if they want to keep rolling the ex Liverpool players out for tv & radio. They are starting to get the ex players that didn’t win much,

Imagine Jordon Henderson, sitting next to Ryan giggs on match of the day with his zero medals. Embarrassing Its like Neil mellor on sky ffs
