Talk Talk broadband have some pretty good offers on at the minute. They've offered us unlimited broadband for £3.25 a month for 12 months at an average download speed of 17mb, if we pay £114 one off payment which is the line rental for 12 months.

That's £153 for a 12 month contract. We're currently with Sky and pay £354 for their equivalent.

Are talk talk any good? Financially it makes sense, but don't want to switch if their service is sht.

We've been with Talk Talk ever since it was Tiscali. We live In a semi rural area so maybe I shouldn't be expecting too much, but the internet gets cut off every time someone rings the land line, and if you ring them up you just end up speaking to a barely understandable Asian man who's best technical advice is usually to turn your router on and off again and wait for 30 seconds.

Personally I would not recommend.

Heswall is semi rural? FFS lad just because you've seen a couple of foxes down the bottom of your street and your neighbour has bought a Land Rover doesn't mean you're living in Hollyoaks.

What's the name of that pub that all you wools get wrecked and fight each other outside anyway? The Jug is it?

Similar experience for me. Talk Talk is ok until it goes wrong, and then the "technical support" really kicks you while you're down. Customer service is non-existent. I also found Talk Talk to be slower than Sky broadband (same area, same machine).

Hahahaha my next door neighbour does indeed have an old Land Rover Defender! You spying on me la?

it is a bit round where I am mate, you should see the state of my road, the council don't even own it FFS! The Jug is the best pub in Der world lid, me and bluebottle love it.

I used to go out with one of your ladyfolk. Hard work like. Boss area though, I aspire to live in Lower Heswall mate.

avoid at all costs moved over from virgin complete waste of time ended up cancelling.. so many call centres south africa they dont have a clue about providing good service..is hould have taken advice about previous reviews of their service..

Arl fella had it for free with a mobile, would struggle with youtube and just about everything else, when he discovered that there was footy online he got another connection but not sure who with, he's not on Virgin I know that but manages to stream no probs.

Talk Talk was a waste of space.

I got a good talk mobile deal though.

i left talktalk cos my line kept dropping, (usually when the phone rang) and i put up with it and did there checks... new modem, new line checks, them little boxes u put on ya phone box, and calling there india call centres are so annoying, when u can actually understand what they are saying, they dont understand your replies.

never again, they are giving there internet away cos they are losing customers left, right and centre.

Bearing in mind 99.9% of all copper links are owned by BT, so broadband suppliers apart, BT are supplying your broadband.

Nope, bt just have to allow other companies to use their lines, I know what you mean but they are just supplying the infastructure.

Not sure how cable have got away with not having to do the same tbh ?
