He's finished. Simple as that.

I defended him a few months and said he deserved a chance to prove to everyone that he can still do a job for us but he can't. Watching him, Jagielka and Howard is like watching slapstick. He and Howard need clearing out ASAP.

But for the sake of the forum and discussion lets try deal with our CBs
Whether Jags or Distin, I feel its time to change things. I am filled with ZERO confidence with them together.

We need Stones back ASAP. But, even with Stones we will struggle with that type of performance. Hull should have equalised when Barry gave the ball away in our box but Diame never expected it. Besic and Jags even tried there best to set up hull. Our midfield was awful.

For the system to work, passes back into defence are a requirement. It would be completely unrealistic to expect 90 minutes of forward passing or 90 minutes of passing in the opponents half even. This is where Distin is becoming an increasing liability to the system. He's a nervous wreck when receiving a pass, so instead of remaining calm and collected before picking the right pass, he's the complete opposite.

In Bobby's brown shoes, I would now bench Distin. I would go with Jags and Browning for City and until Stones is back.
We're likely to get panned anyway, and Ty needs game time and experience against a higher level. I would be more laid back about a youngster learning and making mistakes (maybe even costing us games at times) than an experienced pro whose legs, heart and head are not in the game anymore.

I'm fed up of him and Howard costing us games. Howard we may get some money for, but Distin needs to be put down.

Distin, along with 3 or 4 other will need replacing.

Big changes needed in that squad.

Distin is done at this level but he does not pick himself.
The problem was not sorted in the summer and now its come back to bite us.
As for browning he is nowhere near ready he was ripped apart by sunderland under 21s the other night.
Only option for me is to put barry in alongside jags.

Wasn't that crazy? I couldn't believe it. Jags did well to get us out of that potential calamity. What was Distin thinking of? Could you imagine what the crowd reaction would have been if they'd have scored from it???

Was saying Distin was finished weeks ago.

It is not the errors in his game it his the way he goes about them. The arsenal stood next to giroud and not even trying to stop him getting it was shocking for a league two defender. Earlier in the game he took about 5 seconds to react to a loose ball in front of him.

He needs to retire at the end of the season or drop divisions and wind down. He is a liability and it seems fans are only starting to see things my way now. He should have ahd a replacement 2 years ago to step in and sadly all we have to show for that is alcaraz.
