Swearing Warnings?

Seriously who is grassing on someone for swearing.

Get me back to Goodison the novelty has well and truly warn off
Sadly I think I’m starting to feel this way.

I love the new ground, it still blows me away when I get to my seat, but it’s still a complete pain to get to and from (thanks commandant steve) and it was a total shambles at the bars and concourse again vs the horse punchers (staff not having a clue, taking years to get served, running out of many drinks/items etc) and then you’ve got these shithouse grassing Karen’s moaning about a few effs and Jeff’s ffs.

All killing it a little for me.

I won’t stop going, it’s part of who I am, and it would help if moyes would stop talking us down as a team and have a go properly, especially at home.

If you don’t like swearing at the footy, then following Everton isn’t for you, so jib it and do knitting or something.

Exactly how I feel mate, truly amazing stadium but I feel more like a customer not a supporter now.

It'd help also if that stadium was Evertonised rather than it being what it is: a tourist attraction and 'multi-use entertainment complex'.

The club are in the grip of organisations like OCS Management who run the stadium for them and who are determined to maximise commercial partner's rights at 'the facility' to the exclusion of Everton related identity.

I bet the 1878 lot have had to negotiate with OCS to get any banners vetted in terms of what's on them and how big they are, for example.

And forget about the stadium exterior and seating having Everton on them because that'd be shot down straight away.

People need to wake up to just what sort of vice like corporate grip this stadium is in.

It'll happen though. And when it does these corporate whores wont know WTF has hit them.

That’s happening Dave.

They’ve put images of former players and other EFC chants and players interviews on walls in the concourses and that now.

I agree that they can do much more, especially pitch facing with the seats etc, but it is definitely happening. I’ll get some pics and post them vs Notts Forest.

On the pitch performances will also affect our opinion, and I don’t think we have been good enough, but that can happen, it’s sport, we know we’re not like the rs who just can’t understand or get it when other teams are better and beat them.

Build and coach a team fitting and worthy of the epic new ground and our amazing supporters - that’s TFG and Moyes job now.

The other factors like transport and chaos at the bars etc should have been non existent from the off - they’ve had years to get that right.

This yellow card swearing fiasco is just the cherry on the cake - it’s a farce, and if the club and the moaners don’t knock it off soon then many will just pack in going.

Maybe that’s the long term want/aim from the club and some fans, but I really hope not, as those old school fans who’ve been and stuck with Everton through thin and thinner are what makes us who we are - we will always need that kind of supporter in the ground in decent numbers, or we might as well be Bournemouth or Fulham et al.

Speaking of swearing, @GrandOldTeam do you know if you’re on the new Social Media ban list for U16’s in Oz?

I’m too old to care about proving my age to anyone, so I’d hate to lose access. 🥺

It's been mentioned before pal, here. I replied;

We're based in the UK and do not target Australian users.

Our own terms insist membership is 16+ and we ask for confirmation of this, however there is no requirement for us to implement age verification, and we have no plans to restrict access to the site from Australia.

We'd have been relegated without the effing and blinding of fans over the last few seasons, and beyond that.

There's a massive disconnect between the businesses the club have handed the contracts out to who run this stadium for them and the support base.

It cant be sustained and there'll be a reckoning.

As for he Everton stuff: yes, I've seen it below decks as it were on the concourses and it's not enough. Much of it is generalised Merseyside history stuff too. No, we need the exterior of the stadium to have EVERTON on there and we need the seats in the stadium to spell out Everton too.

That's just the minimum a fanbase can expect from a stadium that's the home of their football club and one which they will pay every single penny of over the coming years.
