Swearing Warnings?

The world has gone mad.
It’s full of hatred.
Football is nowhere near as good as it used to be. Also sweating is part and parcel of industrial language and the ritual of supporting Everton. This club would make a saint swear I tell you.
But things are turning for the worst generally, especially the cheating premier league, refs and general woke society.

I realise that Everton as a club need to generate funds to try and compete but the fans are being fleeced, that’s obviously another negative.

Coming to my twilight years and I must admit it’s not a world I will miss once the inevitable happens.

SWEATING!!!!

Will you be putting a sticker on Andrew's seat if he rocks up to the new stadium.

It's all about controlling the space.

Harrying a few Everton supporters to set an example that the rest are under observation. Ultimately, though, this concerns establishing ground rules that they wont allow the stadium or its immediate environment to be the site of future protest.

Denial of access is the deterrent they'll use.

I dont even see this as Everton v fans. Everton have surrendered this place to commercial forces who've employed a private army to police it for them.

We're in the foothills of a major battle to come, sometime in the future.

At least you're not being overdramatic mate
Well, what would you call the fight to keep the club from self-harm by going out of town; the fight to clear the good name of the fanbase; the fight to force a failing ownership to sell up?

They weren't a tea party were they?

What constitutes persistent then?

What is persistent in one persons ears may not be the same to another?

Seriously, where I am, I haven’t heard anything that, imo, constitutes persistent foul or abusive language, yet we had a good smattering of the yellow cards in and around our seat/rows a few weeks ago - it’s pathetic.

I’ve took my kids the footy since they were 3-4, and warned them they might hear “naughty” words and people shouting at players and the refs, it’s a part of the game that I’ve known since I was a kid for gods sake. Hopefully, I’ve taught them what is right and wrong in most aspects of life, shame on me if I haven’t.

I wouldn’t dream of moaning about it unless it was anything over the top, like rascism or homophobia, and I certainly haven’t heard any of that, as if I had I’d confront it and call it out there and then, with whoever was spouting it.

From my perspective and what I have heard near me, it seems there has been some people reporting stuff that just shouldn’t have been reported, there’s no other way to look at it.

I’m sure watching Dwight McNeil attempt to play football against Sunderland would have triggered a persistent swearing warning for myself!

With var and everything else wrong with the game these days, this feels like another step in taking the game away from the core fans.
It looks to me like they're aiming at the core fanbase, remove the core and you now have less people to answer to, and another audience to sell to..

It's all a bit 'Little house on the prairie' 💩

Lose the soul on the pitch
Lose the soul in the stands

It's just a another glossy arena.
( with a Taylor Swift appeal )

if anyone feels strongly enough to raise an issue then the safeguarding email address on the link i provided might be a good place to start.

If we want an atmosphere to develop in the ground we need to allow people to express themselves so long as it doesn’t cross a line into discrimination or anything like that because nobody should be doing that and I don’t think i’ve seen an argument saying otherwise on here or social media.

Swearing is okay sometimes, sometimes it's funny. I remember being at Goodison and and there was an old couple behind me, this little old lady looked like she was about 90. One of the players was pretending to be injured and out of nowhere she called the player an effing gobstopper, except stopper was another word. She was berating most of our side aswell which was funny.

Personally speaking I can't vibe with these homophobic, transphobic and racist chants, there were a lot at Goodison.

If you're going to give verbal at games make it clever. I shouted Barry Chuckle at Thierno Barry vs Palace and got a lot of laughs. He obviously took note because at the weekend he was playing like Gareth Barry.

The word is ‘persistent use of foul and abusive language’ - how else do you word it? They’ve literally use the word persistent.

Do you want a specific number of swear words allowed?
All they need to do if have stewards who warn people about behaviour when it crosses line. If steward warns somebody about behaviour and they carry on and get kicked out. Fine.

Where is that from? Looks very small writing to me and not given to us when buying our season tickets so it’s not part of the contract.

Like i say, I don’t do any of these things but i am just pointing out the problematic nature of what the club could cause if they went too far with this beyond just rightly using it for discriminatory language
