Swearing Warnings?

Got told that Everton don't care about the swearing, it is what is being said along with it and the examples given were ugly to say the least.

I thought it must be something like this, I couldn't believe it was just for calling the ref a #@&% and Sean Dyche a π¢®¥!

I think the inference being made is that discriminatory language is being used. That might be for a few cases, but it's more likely that the vast majority are for effing and blinding about players/officials.

Maybe they could introduce a swearing section.
Probably best to put it next to the away fans.

Bit pointless. People in the swearing section would complain about the bad language

Someone I trust had a meeting with the club, where the yellow cards were raised. IF generalised swearing was an issue, he would have warned us with something like 'be careful as they are cracking down on this'.

Mate, this is exactly what it is.

Although, some of the examples that received a warning on their seat are arguably nowhere the threshold that a layman would suggest is suitable.

On the other hand, some are justifiably getting a warning.

And the club are merely carrying out the advice handed to them by the stadium management company who control the stadium for them on 'event days'.

Make no mistake: this is part of a series of *nudge strategies* to affect 'customer' behaviour to the desired outcome of being nothing much more than passive consumers.

I sat in the lower south on Saturday block 8...and the atmosphere was raucous and I reckon 95% of the fans around me were effing and blinding and it didn't bother me one bit...it's good for people to let off steam...if you don't like it go and do something else like flower arranging..

Not through the FAB. It is through the supporter club meetings. Like I say if there was a crackdown on your basic swearing, then people would just be told. Not everything is as clandestine as you think.

The only thing I would say is reporting of such behaviour could be open to abuse, as I could make anything up about the people around me and tell a steward.

Would you say that incidences of this type are way more than at Goodison? It appears they are by some distance.

That tells me there's a different approach at this stadium and it means that the stadium management company employed have been handed a different criteria to deploy in it (or that they're being heavy handed in deploying existing measures in play to keep order).

The question then becomes a matter of judgement on what foul and discriminatory language is and what the proportion is between each.

We'll end up with a sanitised 'event' every week at this rate.

And if we're ever bumping along the bottom again that could prove to be disastrous.

Besides that though there's human engineering going on here at this stadium every week and the stadium management company that's been hired are the sharp end of it.
