Yep Distin was awful today, so was Mirallas. Pienaar and McCarthy and Lukaku were bang average....BUT we won with 2 pearlers so I'm buzzing

Wow. Cant get my head around that.

Lukaku rarely saw the ball today! His movement off the ball wasn't the best I've seen from him, so that's part of it.. but we still aren't looking to feed him enough.

I think this might be because of Bobby's encouragement for people to try things in the final third. Mirallas had a 3v 1 in the first half and took the shot on (he was in and around the box so fair play) when he could have played in Lukaku or Pienaar. Maybe it is down to our new found confidence?

I am not overly bothered by the result. We were the better team again and we had more possession. We have had more possession than every single opponent this season so our system is working. We will just have to wait for Michu to come back and get some more signings in January to add to it. We can still finish top 4 if we have title winning form in 2014.
