Sunderland v Everton.

Depends on Fiorentina game. If we got a result there, confidence riding high, I dont see us losing this one. Be interesting to know what Sunderland fans think. There form hasnt been terrible of late, but it hasnt been brilliant either. I think we have enough about us to win it.

It's one we really don't need to screw up. I wouldn't be surprised if AJ starts. Their home record of late is bloody impressive. Really shouldn't present too much difficulty though.

It's an old cliche, but we have to treat each remaining game like a cup final, the second that we approach a game with the wrong mindset we'll be turned over. I'd much rather take the initiative in a game than claw ourselves back into it, i don't know why my trepidation is increasing as this game approaches but i hate playing clubs who are fighting to survive when we have so much at stake.

This trepadation thing will increase game on game as we run in, get used to it and believe. We have to show the players that our faith in their ability remains unshaken. On paper it is one of the easier fixtures and we will win it, I shudder to think what some of you will be like when the Chelsea, Gooners and [Poor language removed] games come up. COYB

Its because we should win the game, on paper and in our current form that i am so wary, knowing Everton as we all do, we are more likely to lose a nailed on fixture like this than we are against the likes of Arsenal or Chelsea. I suppose i'm just hoping that the team don't take things for granted, sit back and wait for things to happen.a Relentlesly attack this shower of [Poor language removed] from the kick off and establish an early winning margin is my theory.

If Arteta can't play, how about Leighton Baines at left back and Joleon left midfield? (or vice versa)

How quickly the buzz around Fernandes has faded. Do you suppose he is in DM's doghouse after that "injury" in the Manc Lite game? Was his knee knock real? There's currently no mention of an injury on the official website.

aye. moyes came out and said clear as day there is no room for sulkers. fernandez file under VDM.

I seem to remember someone getting flak for even suggesting that Fernandes had feigned an injury....

turns out he could have called it right.

We should run out comfortable winners, but the players better not take it too lightly because of that - we need to put them to the sword and take the opportunity to help our goal difference, as that could be very important at the end of the season.

Is it on the box anyone?

I'm just watching Sunderland V Everton from the 5th of March 1983 on the Big Match on ITV4, we lost 2-1 (Sharp )

I can promise you lads, it wont be as easy as last time round, we have better home form than your merseyside neighbours.
