i know city are bad right now, but we won't be near them come may - and i don't mean nowhere near them in a good way
That is probably true, personally think that City will end up second as long as they can keep Aguero fit.

But would prefer a City that are actively seeking to make up points in the table when they play our rivals than ones that are comfortably second with Chelsea too far in front to catch. Seem like a team that can just mentally coast along unless under a bit of pressure.

McCarthy showed a few times that he was exhausted, and disrupted our flow, should have been changed out I think. Not surprised to see him lower than Larsson.

This was another example of European football affecting those clubs that played.

Had me not played thursday we would have beaten Sunderland
Spurs lose at home to Stoke
City draw to QPR

Poisoned chalice?!

Lukaku. Barkley. Eto'o.

We can't play the three of them at the same time. None can play out wide confidently, pretty useless playing them there.

Add Naismith into that bunch. It's two out of four. Unfortunately that leaves McGeady and Atsu (who has been hugely disappointing so far). With Mirallas and McGeady playing wide we might look better balanced but we need to give Atsu back and buy a left sided player if we're going to achieve anything this season.

Maybe I'm being blinkered, but I think our awfulness is temporary, whereas their's is more deep-rooted. Our squad is good and we're not performing terribly, we're just a bit flat.

Nope we aren't either awful or great and neither or they. We're both a little lower than we should be but that's it. Arsenal are a good team that currently look awful due to injuries. Neither us or RS have a player that can come close to Sanchez.

Kin hell, seen motd highlights this morning, not one but possibly two red cards shouldve been shown.....when will the officials start to get punishment for a complete [foul language removed] of refereeing a game. Banned for a week or wages stopped

A disapointing performance especially after playing so well onThursday night.

Shame to go into the international break on a bit of a lull.

I think sunderland got their tactics right yesterday. they stuck wickham on seamus (centre forward man marking a full back !!) and the overloaded the left side with gomez and the fullback, got very tight on bainsy ,2 banks of four in place . Job done. I think other teams are going to watch that and do the same. I suppose it is a back handed compliment that teams now look at everton as a team you have to shut up shop against, even at home.
