anything over than a citeh win tomorrow spells the end mate even then they have a game in hand and we will obviously drop the usual points at analfield.
actually its over FFS
I'd be surprised if they beat City tomorrow. Let's be generous and give them a point. So they'd be 3 points ahead of us with a game in hand.
Their run in is:
Wigan (A)
So'ton (H)
Chelsea (A)
Stoke (A)
Sunderland (H)
Wigan have won their last two home games against Newcastle and Norwich.
Southampton are undefeated in their last three away matches (Norwich, Reading, Swansea).
Chelsea have won five and drawn one of their last six games at Stamford Bridge.
Stoke have been very poor even at home unfortunately.
If Sunderland show the same spirit they could get something at the Lane, where Spurs have only taken one point from the last six available.
If the injury to Bale has knocked him out of his goal-scoring stride Tottenham could find almost all of those matches uncomfortable. They haven't won a game in April and the last time they won without Bale scoring was on New Year's Day!
This match has banana peel written all over it.
After our match against Arsenal, and regardless that we need the three points, I could actually see us having a let down in this match and losing it.
Sunderland (with DiCanio) are flying high after their derby win.
I'm hoping we can nick it though.
Everton 1 - 0 Sunderland
Nothing left to play for now, so put the peripheral players in. I expect any right minded manager who wants to stick around and build on the foundations to be giving game time to Duffy, Oviedo, Barkley, McAleny, Stones, Kennedy etc
hi bill how are you today bad result.
Yep.![]()
Just got back. Pretty shocking performance all round, I think it's obvious to see that most of our regular 1st teamers are either knackered or carrying niggling injuries and I'm sure the effort of the Arsenal game took its toll on us today. The biggest annoyance though is that they are a shocking team as well. All of their chances came from our mistakes and stupid free kicks around our box.
Can't be arsed reading through the whole thread, but does anyone know the rules on the passback thing? Deliberate handball and stopping a clear goal scoring opportunity (it was going in) is surely a red card, even for a keeper? Not that it would have made much difference to the result like.
