Me and a friend are wondering how we come across making a little Sunday league football team for under 12's for example. Is there any way we could come across doing this?

We would love a head in the right direction.

Cheers.

Don't know how you'd go about joining a league but if you need a team of 12 year old boys there's plenty in Chico's basement.

Get coaching quals.

Get CRB checked.

Contact local league to enter the team into the comp.

Prepare to put up with aggressive criticism from parents that disagree that their treasure is selfish, lazy, insolent and indeed absolutely rubbish at football.
or...
Ride the crest of a wave as they take on all comers and play them into submission before half time, gaining promotion after 3 games, reducing the oppoisition to tears on a weekly basis. When the other team can't kick-off because their c-forward is on his hands and knees banging the ground then you know a physcological barrier has been passed.

Are you doing it for your own kids needs mate ? cos if that's the case then be ready for other parents to kick up a stink if it apppears that they are all there for him i.e. if he is penalty taker, capt., never has to defend or go in goal anbd never get subbed. Unfortunately this is what happens in a great many teams and is why parents keep swapping kids around between clubs, if there is a clique of parents or kids then it doesn't take too long for others to notice.

Kids footy angst levels are through the roof.......... even when winning as well.

Thanks man, Im 19 and my friend is 18. We are just wanting to get into it. How much money do you think you would need as you surely need to pay for kits etc

Kits aren't that expensive ion comparison to buying a prem shirt (£14 for nike/adidas).

It's things like pitch fees, refs fees etc that all add up, and why you need subs each week. Plus training costs.

Haven't a clue what it would cost like. If it's a group of mates you could have subs tghat would leave an excess amount for an end of season trip ? I know one of my mates open age teams pay out about £110 per match in fees, for the under 10's the 3g pitch (~1/3 a full pitch) is £35 each time, the grass one cost £370 for the season but they don't maintain it too well and not sure if you get some back each time it's unplayable... which they all are already so the 3g costs are starting to mount, we have 10 in the team though paying £15 a month and everything is covered, not sure if it will with the weather at the moment though as the pitches could end up shut all winter, it's onkly been playable twice so far....... shoite drainage and clay.

try and get someone to come up with the kit .pub firm, any league will give you info on teams pitch fees ect you have to get subs off the kids to cover this, if you really want to do it mate the best way would be to ask an established club to take you under there wing, that way somebody will have your back and offer you advice, and more than likely pass on an old kit, likes of my lads team get a new one every year, so there is always kit knocking about. ps its more than likely to late for this season, get it in place for one of the summer lgs, not as long a season and you can see if you enjoy it.

write to local businesses, you should find one willing to go halfs on the kit in return for having their name on the front.

Topps tiles are a nation wide company who actually have a community policy to help with things like this...it provides an image boost to them whilst helping you... Only thing is they stipulate that you wear their colours, yellow shirt with blue shorts and socks, if I remember correctly they won't give you cash but will buy the kit for you.
